Here's a game preview:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/preview?gid=2008111809

Big story seems to be 6'5 guard Anthony Morrow:

Getting opportunities against Golden State—the league’s second-worst scoring defense at 105.2 points per game—probably won’t be a challenge for Portland and the lightning-fast Roy, but the Trail Blazers must contend with the NBA’s second-highest scoring team (104.4) that just found another weapon.
...
Morrow, making his first NBA start on Saturday, had 37 points—the highest point total by an undrafted player in his rookie season—and 11 rebounds as the Warriors (4-6) defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 121-103.
“I think my highest game at Georgia Tech was like 30 or 31 my senior year,” said Morrow, who hit 4-of-5 from 3-point range. “Today was just one of those things. I mean, you don’t shoot 15-for-20. Sometimes, I don’t even shoot 15-for-20 in drills, man.”
Stephen Jackson, who added 20 points and a season-high 10 assists against Los Angeles, averaged 26.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two wins over the Blazers in Oakland last season.

Batum on Cap'n Jack. See if Morrow can get 37 while guarding Roy and Rudy.

We won't have to worry about Morrow that much. The kid was in "the zone."

YES! I get to watch the Blazers on TV in HD! I love KGW. Comcast can suck it!

Big game . . . would love to end this road trip 4-1 . . . what an outstanding result that would be for an extended roadtrip.

Intersting stategy by the Blazers. Break up the roadtrip and let the playres get some home cooking and sleep in their own beds. I wonder if that will result in a more rested team being ready for the fast pace of GS, or does it take the edge off a roadtrip and Blazers come out flat after being home, well fed and rested.

(Personally I would have flown directly into GS, maybe have the team go out to a movie together . . . but in any event keep them on the road battling and bonding together and everyone is only thinking basketball.

I don't care how it happens . . . need that 4-1 road trip result.

What's KGN and how do you watch it if your stuck with comcast?

maggette will kill us like usual

Man I know what your talking about...but I would have to guess it will be Maggette who is surprised when he tries to go inside when Oden is in. Joel is one thing. Oden can tend to discourage guys like Maggette.

I think it's one of the local affiliates to NBC or something. Comcast people elsewhere are stuck with LeaguePass.

Only home games (and the two clipper games in LA) are HD this year unless they are being broadcasted when we are away by ESPN/TNT.

Saw The Warriors at the theater when it came out, and recently bought the Director's cut dvd. I was disappointed by the dvd as he has inserted a lot of cartoon stuff like he is trying to copy some of the comic book hero movies of recent years. It felt like a lot of action scenes were cut down too, especially the ballplayers on roller skates.

The Warriors original was better and more powerful without all that cartoon crap.

Dude. You are right. The Gang that was the Roller Skaters totally ruled. I have never laughed my ass off so hard. :devilwink:

Oh, thanks for the 411. I'll still enjoy it in SD. HD would be better, but oh well.

Yes KGW is the local affiliate that broadcasts a few Blazer games a year. If you are out of the area you are SOL.

Run the offense through Greg Oden. This was extremely effective in Minnesota. They best defense the Wolves could throw at Greg was to foul him.

He's too big and too strong for anybody Golden State has. This opens up opportunities for the other plays as Golden State will throw a double or even a triple on Greg.

Andris Biendrins is a very impressive young player. His numbers are insane - 17 ppg 15 rpg, are you kidding me?! But if Greg plays 25-30 minutes, Andris wont be grabbing as many O-rebs as he does. Greg just clears so much space.

Once you find you can watch via links for free, you'll never pay comcast.

Word! Screw Comcast!

Everytime I hear that Comcast commercial on the radio about missing Blazer games because Comcast if fucking me, I go nuts. Then I remember I can just stream it and I'm not so upset.

Does anyone have a link to the game? Or will there not be one until the game starts?

...I am going to need a video link as soon as somebody finds one!!!

Holy shit, I just saw Oden at warmup on the KGW broadcast and he's already dripping sweat from his beard!
The game hasnt even started!

Dudes big. As a teen I was always shocked how sweat would roll off of Shaq from tip off to the final buzzer. I probably dont drink as much liquid in a day as Shaq would sweat in a game.

I predict that Oden sets career highs in rebounding and points tonight. How long til Oden moves into the starting line up? Tomorrow maybe? For the home crowd?
