I can't take it no more....

Since there was no thread for today's game, and I had to vent somewhere....TADA!

    1) Why the Hell did was JO not on the floor for the last 5 minutes? Kapono played like trash and he was on the floor. Fine, JO had 5 fouls...but so did Howard.

    2) Why the Hell did Sam take Hump out of the game for Kapono? Kapono can sometimes score, but he wasn't tonight. He is absolutely useless on D....makes no sense to me...

    3) Why the Hell did Sam play Soloman more then Roko?...Soloman had lazy passes, was turning the ball over, and couldn't finish in the lane...he just kept complaining to the officials. He clearly commited an offensive foul on Nelson...hooked him to the side and barks at the ref.

    4) Why the Hell did Sam put Bargs on Howard, when JO was doing a great job? Of course JO is in danger of committing more fouls gaurding Howard, but isn't that why he is here? Even when Bargs did well, Howard got every call.

    5) How can you not feel sorry for Bosh. He did everything tonight, and got no help....except from the guy who was glued to the bench for the final 6 minutes.

    What i've determined.

    1) Soloman can't be our long term back-up. He flat out can't control the game or distribute the ball...and he thinks he can score.
    2) Jason Kapono is trash. He plays well offensively 1 out of 4 games...invisible the rest. Worst of all, he is a defensive liability.
    3) Sam makes me sick. Does this man have any feel for the flow of a game or who is playing well?

My blood pressure actually went up tonight....

Solomon is trash, even when he had the double double againist Miami I think he had a lot of turnovers. Tonight he pissed me off. Same deal with Kapono, but I think hes usually pretty decent. Roko actually looked pretty decent tonight.

Solomon is not an NBA level 2nd string point guard, plain and simple. He played for Hapoel a few years ago, so I know what it feels like to be frustrated with him and his ball-hogging/turnovers. Hapoel fans invented a song about Horace Jenkins after he replaced Solomon, something along the lines of "who the fuck is solomon? ho-race jen-kins!". Sounds really bad in English.

I totally agree with everything u said norespect. I would add why do they keep goin to JO at the end of a game. He plays D great but at the end of a game his Offense is very flat. I agree with not takin him off with 5 fouls, ride em till the wheels fall off i say. And i dont know whats goin on with Solomon. You know its bad with the broadcaster say "What are you doin!?" more then once. Whats with our pgs jumping before they make a pass??? u learn not to do that in jr high school. Thats point guard fundamentals 101. The Raptors are very frustrating to watch this year and i feel so bad for bosh cause most of the time hes the only one playin to win.

I didn't get to see the game last night, just the highlights on the TSN this morning, and I was kind of wondering.. would having TJ as the back up and Rasho have been more of a difference maker than J.O.?

If that game bothered you this past must've really been a bitch, eh norespect?

I've tempered my criticism of Mitchell so far this year, partly because I saw him improving a little and partly because I think our roster has a huge gaping flaw that no coach could overcoming (perimeter D, SF spot). That said, last night was absolutely terrible. People are starting to recognize how amazing a player Bosh is. But no one outside Toronto really factors in his ability to produce despite playing in an absolutely pathetic offensive system. I find it amazing that, when it comes down to the line, our offensive sets only involve two players. It's just Jose and Bosh running the pick-and-roll off each other while 3 very competent offensive players watch. Very few players in the NBA could score in such a predictable offense, when the defense throws double and triple teams on you, and yet you see Bosh scoring almost every time he touches the ball. It's almost a blessing and a curse. We continue to produce, but at the same time it masks what's been holding us back for the past 3 years.

And that's just on the offensive side of the ball. I don't understand why we're so slow to double a player that is clearly tearing us up. I don't know why we don't have a set play for an inbounds pass. I don't get why there's absolutely no attempt made to foul the player before the last shot. And finally, I don't understand why the 6'3" Jose fucking Calderon is defending Vince Carter on the last play of the game, or why he's even on the floor in a defensive situation.
