Nets should watch the tape from second half of this game 100 times non-stop. Maybe then they'll learn to defend as efficient as Cavs do. Other than that it was obvious we can't beat Cavs today, especially when our shot is not falling. BTW, Yi starts to disappoint.

the big difference here stat wise that i can see is the cavs shot 59% from the 3 pt line at 10-17, while the nets shot 2 for 14 at 14%. There is your 24 pt difference. If you live by the sword you die by the sword. Plus you can't leave west , gibson, and mo wide open either. But its a young team, and they played the first half well.

one of our 3 rookies played well. I'm impressed with Lopez double double game with 15/13 while shooting 50%. Just one game, the rookies need to forget this one and get ready for the next. You have to expect this with rookies. They all won't have good games all at once.

The good news is the nets may finally have a true large center after all these years. Very impressed with Lopez and Harris. VC had one of his bad games and maybe we will see the type A vince soon.

    oh yeah, go nets!!!

Ugh... Good first half, terrible second half.

Vince struggled shooting the ball and generating offense. This is why the Nets need some third scorer. Vince and Devin are going to have off nights and having a 3rd and even 4th scorer step would be nice. But most importantly Nets got caught with a barrage of 3's that completely changed the game and seemed to suck the energy out of the Nets.

Lopez had a nice game and Devin continues to show his scoring ability. Dooling is Mr. Reliable. Comes in and gives solid minutes.

When Vince is struggling like that offensively perhaps the Nets should try to run the offense through Devin more. Have Vince, Yi, and Simmons spot up and give the ball to Harris at the top of the 3 point arc and let Lopez come out to set the screen and have Devin get into the paint for a layup or a drive and kick to one of the shooters. Try to get some open jumpers or layups.

Games like this are expected. The Cavs are way above the Nets' level. LeBron is becoming an unstoppable player. He even hit his FTs tonight.

    Look at the bright spots:

-Brook Lopez had a solid game and held his own against veteran bigs such as Big Z/Ben (15 points on 6/13 FG and 13 rebounds.
-Harris scored 23 points on a decent percentage (8/18) and again showed his ability to shake off a defender and hit the mid-range shot.
-Dooling with another solid game (10 points, 6 rebounds) off the bench.
-Sean Williams finally blocked some shots (though he got his own shot blocked more times), including, if I'm not mistaken, a stuffing of the King.
-Nets had just 13 turnovers, compared to 18 @ the Hawks, vs the Pacers and @ the Heat (that's 3 of the past 4 before the Cavs).

I wouldn't call him a bust just yet, but i will say he needs more time than i expected. Maybe its a cultural thing, but like Yao i think he needs to develop a sorta mean streak. He is a bit soft right now, and it appears he's losing confidence.

Dirk wasn't good one year after he was drafted, and took some time to develop. Yi maybe shouldn't be starting right now until he figures it out. He maybe a third year player who finally breaks out, but right now he's a bit soft, and a streaky shooter at best. Which in my opinion makes him sorta a liability on the court right now. Unfortunately for the nets none of the other power forwards are ready yet either. So we will have to live with the growing pains until that day happens. And, until that does happen we will have to live with a good game, then wait 3 or 4 games until he does it again.

now that i think of it maybe it may be a good idea to start both lopez and boone until Yi gets more consistant.

true, but also cause they traded a big name player in RJ for him. They are kinda forced to start him now.
