That's what i have been saying all along my friend:pimp:

Sign young prospects to grow your league as a whole, not old washed up stars.

Actually I believe even after signing him they were the first MLS team to turn a profit.

Why does Milan continue to get washed up players that aren't good anymore?

Well you need to sign the big players to get talent non-european talent to ge there. A Catch 22 situation. I'm not all that Savvy on what MLS Youth Development is like but i assume its nothing like some of the Top European teams' Arsenal and Ajax for Example.

If Beckham does leave for Ac there will be a big amount of money coming out of Beckham's/Ac's Wallet

MLS youth development just started two years ago. Like other American sports, most of the youth come from a high school/college draft. Two seasons or so ago, MLS changed the rules so that you could start an academy, but they made the academy signing rules so restrictive that most teams are extremely hesitant to sign anyone. The Galaxy signed a former US-U-18 forward last month, making them the only team that to sign a youth prospect.
