    To Portland - Al Horford

    To Atlanta - LaMarcus Aldridge

It was one bad game. LMA is a ridiculous talent.

agreed, they both are great talents, but I LMA fits in better with Oden since he's the inside scoring punch to Oden's inside defensive prowess

maybe if Atlanta threw in Marvin Williams to sweeten the deal I'd consider it.

I think it would be a good fit for both teams.

Horford could be that intangible PF next to Oden. He reminds me a little of a healthy Brian Grant.

very nice comparasion...I was thinking the same thing

From back in his Portland/Miami days...only Horford is a better blocker, but the rebounding and scoring are spot on

Increasingly it's clear to me that most people in the world have all the patience of a meth head looking for a fix. Why don't we just give LMA the benefit of the doubt that he'll work through this rough patch in his season; it's not like he's forgotten how to play, he's just struggling mightily lately.

It amazes me how much we hate our players ... hell people have even turned on Brandon when he's had a couple of bad games.

I'd take Rasheed Wallace with a brain over a healthy Brian Grant.

LMA has nothing on Rasheed Wallace. They both are 6'11" and have a high release so everyone wants to make that comparison.

The one thing that made 'Sheed so good was his defense, it was stellar. His post defense was dependable for 82+ games. 'Sheed also had a post game that LMA could only dream of having.

    LMA is no 'Sheed.

Why would the Blazers trade for a player that isn't as good as the one they are giving up?

Clearly you don't remember Sheed either with Les Boulez or in his early years with the Blazers. LMA is a better player at the same age. Unlike Sheed, he also has the desire to get better.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't think LMA will ever come close to Wallace's defense or post game.

I didn't say he would be as good or better than Sheed in every facet of his game. I do think that LMA will score more, rebound more and will be a shot blocking machine once he gets comfortable with GO as a backstop.

And the difference is that LMA shows up every night. He doesn't sleepwalk through games.

lol this is becoming funny. If any Blazer has a few off games, trade him! He sucks! easgea;gljkea;g

I like LaMarcus, always have, and I'd be very disappointed if we traded him for pretty much anyone. He's on a little cold streak, but he'll shake out of it and be fine.

Quit being such a vagine. This is a quality proposal. You obviously don't know Al Horford's game too well.

Having Horford and Greg will just clog the lane up, which happens to the place where Brandon likes to go down the stretch too.
Greg takes up enough space as is, and I have no doubts that LaMarcus will be a good complement once they learn to play with each other.

Here's a good question... why does Atlanta do this trade? Horford has helped turn around that franchise and brought a tough inside presence that the team oh so badly needed. IMO they're both talented players but have different talents and what LMA would bring to the Hawks is not needed. They have Joe Johnson and Josh Smith already taking a ton of shots, they need an inside banger who can board and protect the rim and that's exactly what Horford is.
