Lame duck W only has a short time left in office. Outgoing presidents typically dole out controversial pardons and do deals with people they ordinarily wouldn't because they don't have to hang around and face the music. What will Bush do before he leaves? Who will he pardon? Karl Rove? for his role in the Valerie Plame scandal? Everyone involved in the torture fiasco? Dick Cheney for his many crimes? What do you think W will do during his last days in the White House?
He doesn't need to pardon Rove or Cheney, no shit's gonna happen to them. He'll just chill, drink a few beers and call it a day.

I hope Bush gives a blanket pardon to everyone who had a hand in crafting interrogation policy or who interrogated any terrorist. The Dems are chomping at the bit to haul members of the Bush Administration before them in Congress, and it's my hope that Bush denies them that opportunity. Also, I hope Bush pardons Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean.
