The UFC is absorbing some fighters from the WEC as the WEC is closing it's 185 and 205 lbs divisions and the UFC is at 180 fighters on contract, so it's time to trim the fact I guess. Marcus Aureilo has been released from the UFC. He's been an up and down fighter he recently lost to Hermes Franca at UFC 90 and has a 2-3 record in the UFC. His biggest claim to fame was a submission victory of Takanori Gomi, which Gomi avenged several months later when they both fought in Pride. With the glut of talented fighters available at 155, this comes as no big shocker IMO.
