Wow, Andrew Bynum leaps like he's jumping from wet sand.

If Suns lose this and we beat Sacramento, we'll both be 8-5 going into the game on Saturday. Chance to pass Phoenix. Would be cool.

Yeah. Aldridge doesn't seem comfortable facing up his man and driving to the basket ... yet.

Bynum was unimpressive. Couldn't handle Shaq. Couldn't stay on the court. Couldn't get a double double. I look forward to seeing how Oden plays Shaq on Saturday.

Don't be too surprised if Greg kinda' has the same night Bynum did. Shaq is still Shaq!

Greg doesn't have a polished post game yet. If Greg is ISO'd with Shaq, it wont be pretty. However, if Blake and Roy get Shaq in pick-and-rolls like we have been doing the last 5 games with Greg, he'll have a productive game. Greg has put up 15/10 in 25 min. with mainly pick-and-rolls and offensive boards.

Shaq defending a pick-and-roll is always ugly.

    Shaq: 19 points, 17 rebounds, 2 Blocks, 1 Assist, 0 steals, 1 Turnover, 3 Fouls

    Bynum V Shaq

    Bynum 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 Block, 0 Assists, 1 steal, 1 Turnover 4 Fouls

Checkmate on both offense and defense :ghoti:

(I only did this because I know you would have if it favored Odom...er...Oden) :devilwink:

    Oden - 52.2%FG | 18.3ppg | 14.0 rpg | 21.28PER (1st NBA season)
    Bynum - 49.5%FG | 15.1ppg | 12.6rpg | 20.85PER (4th NBA season)

Those are the Per 40s since Bynum plays almost 10mpg more than Oden.

I know you are smarter than that...Please dont

Bynums 1st year = 10th pick 17 year old HS kid that was obviously a project

Odens 1st year = 1st pick, Coming outta college, labeled as supposed to be the best C since Shaq (or something close)

Comparing their first years is a joke

Dude, my sister started working out last week. That pic looks nothing like her anymore. And, i think the PER system is the best way to judge a players value.

You think PER is the best way to judge to defensive centers? Interesting...

I was kinda just stating what year they were in... but I do think it makes somewhat of a point that Greg is really playing his first couple of games of NBA bball and has better per40 stats than Drew in his 4th year.

I'm just putting that out there because Greg really has no NBA experience and Drew has been around... I think that gives a nice advantage. But you can take it out and the stats would still be there.

One thing working for Bynum is that they are pretty much the same age, so NBA experience doesn't matter all that much in that sense. But if we flipped it around and Greg was in his 4th year, I think we see a big difference. But this is just speculation on my part. Trust me, as a portland fan, I don't think Greg has anything more than a very slight adv. over Andrew, and may not have one at all because of the lack of touches Drew really gets on that loaded team (but one can argue that Greg's lack of minutes in comparison makes up for that and they have even touches throughout the game).

    Meh

P.S. - You like how I have a discussion with myself.
