UFC 90 PPV numbers are low

    we'll have to wait some time before the numbers comes out for UFC 91.. more like until Dave Meltzer gets the 411 from his insider contacts that no one else seems to have, but if UFC90 is any indicator, there's little or no chance UFC 91 broke 1,000,000 buys.

    CP goes on to note that Brock's first two fights did over 600K in buys. It's hard to imagine this PPV did twice that, especially in this tough economic environment. More than likely well over 1 million ppl saw the PPV, but they saw it at bars or had a PPV party with 6-10 ppl at a house, thus lowering the buy numbers.

    Silva/Cote was a bit of a weak card and it was really close to another free card so I don't know if it is a good indicator or not. I think the Couture/Lesnar event probably did well but not as well as projected.
