In one 40 minute game http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basket...67-points-and-I-don-t-mean-t?urn=ncaab,123908
Strange headline: "Texas Tech scores 167 points, and I don't mean the football team" Why would anyone think it was the football team? Football teams score far less than basketball teams.
A football team will never score 167 in a game. That is frickin impossible. I don't know what they were talking about.
Georgia Tech 222, Cumberland 0, iirc. Yup. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1916_Cumberland_vs._Georgia_Tech_football_game
Texas Tech's football team is the second highest scoring NCAA Football team, so I can see why they used it, but yeah, 167 points for a football team is ridiculous... Although, Georgia Tech beat Cumberland in football 222-0 on October 7, 1916.
