i wouldnt bait him. vince had a good night. the haters say: "he should play like this every night!" they are right to an extent but vince has been in the league 11 years...this is who he is. accept it, for better or for worse.
I also want to name this "The Official Magic Johnson Thread" oh and baiting and trolling are allowed on S2, no worries; I asked.
Okay, I'll (somewhat) take the bait. Since Kidd has gone, I was amazed I could find a Net that annoyed me and that I wanted less on my team more than Vince Carter.... Enter Richard Jefferson 2.0 (whiny, D-less and entitled). But then something else happened, Vince started using his immense talents in other areas of the game more consistently(rebounding, defense, team leadership). It not only made it hard to demand for Vince's exit, I found myself defending him and seeing how important he could be to this fast rebuild. MAXMILLION said it best, folks are right to bitch occasionally, but he is who he is, accept it. I have grown to BE ABLE TO ACCEPT IT, b/c of how he has played since Kidd's exit last year. With that said, and realizing that there are not more than 3 or 4 other players(maybe) in the league that could do what he did last night, we have, however, seen doses of 'Old Vince' in Cleveland Game and in in the 4th Quarter last night that made me do a bit of a "Vince Wince." In other words, Vince took some terrible shots after Devin and the Nets had closed the gap, and some bad decisions of Vince's offensively and a terrible defensive lapse(Calderon's layup) put us in the whole in the 1st place(down 7 w/ 50 seconds left.) But Vince maketh the hole, Vince put team on back and climb-eth out of the hole...and in the process treated us to what may have been a franchise transforming game.
