Not gonna make a huge difference. The Thunder are simply a bad team. They're a rebuilding project that's not going to win a lot for at least another couple years, and a new coach won't change that. Sucks for PJ though, looks like the scapegoat for the rough start.
They've probably been cursed by the city of Seattle and the bball fans there. lol Should have never moved.
It's not PJ's fault, he didn't construct this team and there's too many young players to win games. This team isn't going to start winning until Durant, Green & Westbrook become more seasoned players. At least PJ had a system in place, and it's tough for young players to develop if you're going to constantly make changes. I think a coach needs 4 or 5 seasons before you see major results with a young team. I hope the next head coach stops using Durant at shooting guard.
PJ had to go but they shouldn't have fired him without making sure they had a long term replacement ready. Young team getting constant coaching changes is not going to help.
He gets to a new city, and then he's fired after only 13 games. That's got to be a record or something. I guess Bennett thought they were going to get to OKC and everybody was going to crap strawberry sherbet or something.
