No, here's the truth. Oregon fans like to talk a lot about how Beaver fans compare themselves to the Ducks a lot. Yet all I ever see is Duck fans disregarding Oregon State after a win. I really hardly ever if at all see a Beaver fan comment on a Duck win or loss except maybe - tough loss or good win. I don't see Beaver fans talking a lot of shit before the season (I do see Duck fans on Blazers boards doing this though) or during the season - until after an Oregon State win a Duck fan throws back-handed compliments at the Beavers or after an OSU loss Ducks fans really, really start the shit talking. You like to point out OSU getting lucky because Arizona made some mistakes. Okay, yeah, UA made some mistakes. Oregon State also had to overcome not having their starting quarterback (although I am not a big fan of Lyle) and losing Jacquizz except for the first half of the first quarter. I'd say Oregon State won the game, and UA didn't lose it. Oregon State made big plays when they had a lot to overcome - Kahut's missed extra point, being completely out of sync in the first half and letting some big plays go on defense. Oregon State won the game, Arizona did not lose the game. I'm sorry you can't compliment the Beavers on winning a game (but this doesn't come as a surprise to me because I haven't seen you do it once in the last three years) but instead have to point out how Oregon State got the benefit of UA making a couple of mistakes (while not pointing out how OSU had to over come a lot to even be in a position to capitalize on mistakes). But I guess such is to be expected from the majority of Duck fans on the Blazers boards all around the internet. Shit talk the Beavers then act like you aren't and it's really Beaver fans obsessed with comparing the two schools (even when it's Ducks fans always bringing it up while Beaver fans mind their own damned business).

Yeah Jacquizz took a blow in the first quarter to his left shoulder. Initially it was reported as a sprained left shoulder but allegedly it is being reported on some Portland news stations as a slightly separated shoulder.

Shoot, our starting quarterback was out and we lost the Pac 10's #1 RB. On the road. We had blown PAT in the last of the game. And we didn't crumble. That's character. Not the most beautiful win, but a W and it was the type of win that builds more character.

Just because my opinion of OSU as a subpar road team doesn't mean I am belittling them. I am glad they won, it finally sets up a decent Civil War instead of who gets to go to the shitty ass bowl game in El Paso or San Francisco. My honest opinion was I thought UA would win, I was wrong. OSU is turning into a better road team, but my opinion of them as a road team still hasn't changed much, doesn't mean I am taking anything away from them. I think you had some bad experiences with Duck fans in the past and are overly sensitive tonight, b/c I haven'y talked shit about osu.
These kind of fans make me want to see OSU get creamed game in and game out. I actually like the Rodgers Bros and Samie is a great story. I know not all OSU fans are like this (one of my best friends is a Beaver fan and we respect both teams) So to all the humble beavs out there, best of luck Sat and in the rose bowl if you make it!

I'm not an alumnus of either school, but I have to add just how proud I am of the two programs. I can recall a time--not so long ago--when U of O and OSU were the perennial doormats of the Pac-8/10. How far football in Oregon has come. For a basis of comparison, just look to Washington--the CrApple Cup is an embarrassment this year.
