Yep, you are right that most every announcing pair out there has the same bias toward their team.

Seems pretty accurate when you start to think about it.

It's not just color guys, and you're right it's not completely comprehensive, but I think they have Rice nailed perfectly.

I love how both the Suns shit announcers are so far left (homers and lack of knowledge)... God they suck.

    Thank you, Dumpy!

    Off my nuts, please.

Sorry, I'll get back to it.

I used it to challenge Marv to a game of tick-tack-toe, and before it was too late I didn't print off another copy.

I agree with others that have said Rice is what makes other fans not like our announcing duo. He'll say things like "OMG, what a horrible call!" or "Ohhh... in your face!" It's hilarious to hear..

I enjoy listening to New York, they always have good PBP guys and Walt Frazier is critical of the Knicks when needed.
Oklahoma City is the worst in terms of a really odd combination they've got. Don't know who it is though.

Most annoying to me are Boston and Denver, their announcers never think their players foul anyone.

Good future, but also a good team now. Watching Rudy play makes my nipples hard although as for your big man, I think Brook Lopez will pan out to be a better pro than Greg Oden, due to his advanced offensive game.

I don't see a lot of other announcers, but one that clearly sticks out in my mind as a terrible announcer was Clyde Drexler. It was just horrid listening to him on the Rockets.

I do wish I could just turn the volume on the tv down and listen to wheels. I don't like the homer calls from the Mike and Mike. I know they are fans just like us however they have a job to do and be realistic.

Mike and Mike react like fans(a good thing in my book)to calls but if they know they're wrong after a re-play they always correct themselves. If you think the Mike's are bad you should listen to Wheels. You had to love Ed Ducet and Steve Jones back in the day...Steve was always cracking up after Ed said ANYTHING. Very similiar to the annoucing relationship he has with Bill Walton.

Definitely in the high knowledge/objective quadrant. I'm not quite the caliber of Ian Eagle, but surely I would place myself above Jim Spanarkel, "The Giggler."

Jim Barnett (color guy for the Warriors) is awesome and a badass. That chart nailed him- very high basketball knowledge and just the right amount of homerism/objectivity that you want to see from a local color guy. The play by play guy, Bob Fitzgerald is annoying though. Calls games pretty well and while he is a homer he will also criticize the W's and give the other team enough credit. Overall I enjoy them.

Never heard the Blazers but Warriors fans tell me they're terrible. I'd say the Kings' announcers are the worst I've ever heard though.

It was awfully nice of Mike Breen to provide us with that chart. :D

To be honest I try to watch MB and Rice every time I can. I can't stand the national assclown announcers. I like our announcers a lot.

MB is all right but he's pretty boring. Unless the Blazers are doing very well or very poorly, he sounds to me like he's half asleep most of the time.

Rice gets carried away quite often, but usually he's not too bad.

Overall our announcers could be better, but it could be a lot worse too. And although I don't listen to other NBA local announcers, I can tell that ours are very homerist (is that a word? ;)). I thought we were very fortunate when we had Snapper, he was awesome.
