Nice highlights, I love the guy trying to get a couple easy points at the end of the game and got blocked.

Camby the most overrated defensive player of the year ever? He couldn't defend Yi.

Maybe, but remember last year they talked about Camby being an All-Star? Barkley said he was the best center in the west (Over Yao). Recently on RGM forum, they're calling him out, saying he was overrated. Now seeing the evidence, it's true. He's only good at blind side shot blocking. He leaves his man open and doesn't play any real D.

Yi will get there, it's just his 2nd season.

I'll wait for his third season, that's when players like him usually start to get it.

The talent is there, it's just inconsistent that could be fixed in time.

Almost all of those highlights are of Yi taking jumpshots.

One of the layups he got was from a breakway pass from Devin. Unfortunately, there are few highlights of him getting points in the paint on his own.

His inconsistency will continue if he becomes too reliant on his jump shot. Hope that he and the Nets staff are working to improve his inside game.

His jump shot is extraordinary for a seven footer. Dirk, Bargnani, Yi...no one else compares. His post moves are secondary. The idea that a seven footer is able to run with Devin Harris should tell you how unique he is.

And it wasnt just 27 points. It was 27 points against a front line of Marcus Camby and Chris Kaman. Same is true of Lopez' double-double. Those guys are top of the line big men and the Nets two young 7-footers combined for 41 points and 16 rebounds. And one reason Lopez was able to get inside and score was because the Clippers couldn't collapse so easily on Lopez knowing Yi was out there with his stroke.

In the NBA, you adjust to what your players can do, not the other way around. Making Yi a post player defeats the purpose.

I agree with NI Brook and Yi complement each other really well as an inside outside frontcourt duo, I guess what the Knicks envisioned for Randolph and Curry. Yi has got a lot of 3 man skills in him offensively. I think he does have to mix it up by driving some more since he almost always holds a quickness advantage against the opposing team's PFs. I think Yi should watch Chris Bosh and pick up on his high post moves. Hopefully we'll see him develop into being a better slasher to complement his outside game. Brook + Yi has a lot of potential both in the present and in the future.
