Other than the Lakers, the Blazers are within only one game of every other WC team. It's gonna be one wail of a fighting-for-playoff-position battle this season, folks!
You are correct as concerns Blazer fans I guess, if the team were to somehow miss the playoffs. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! g
For the sake of argument, let's say that the Rockets, Lakers, Hornets, Jazz, Spurs, and Suns are in. That's six teams. That leaves the Blazers, Nuggets, Mavs, and Warriors fighting for the last two spots. Seem about right?
Looks to me like the Lakers, Jazz, Spurs and Suns are a lock. Rockets right behind that - if they can stay healthy (can they?) NOH is a lot less impressive so far than they were last year. Wonder if they will turn it around - CP3 is still a wonder boy, West seems to have taken a (small) step back, their backup PG is a downgrade from last year - not sure I see much of a difference from Tyson - Peja is wounded again? Nugs seem much better with Billups. Will it continue? I wonder - but it sure looks as if it was a great trade for them. Mavs will continue to have ups and down all the time, it seems to me - and the Warriors - I can't tell what will happen with them - sooner or later they will hit a bad patch, I think - the new kid Morrow can't continue to shoot like there is no tomorrow, can Beans continue to rebound and convert at the rate he has so far? having Ellis back will either be the greatest thing ever or a real disappointment.
My comment was of course as to your "wail" comment. As to the Blazer's place in the playoff race, why are we to drop below the 7th place we are in right now. We have had a horrendous schedule so far and are 8 and 6 on the season with 3 home wins this week probable. Lets see where we are come the end of the week when we even up some this home court advantage. g
