Might as well trade Pryzbilla for Hinrich and Thomas now. No use paying your backup center that much money.
I like it. But i still think he needs more conditioning. Either way Im excited for the game.
Not sure why everyone is so worried about his conditioning before he becomes a starter. Lately he hasn't been playing as much because we've been blowing teams out or hes been in foul trouble. He'll likely play the same minutes whether he starts or not. I think they are using this start to prod him a little.

And maybe this is more about Aldridge than Oden - jumpstart Aldridge by giving opposing teams less opportunity to double team him/put their best low-post defender on him.
Part of me feels sorry for Joel - he's actually playing better than Oden and he gets demoted. But on the other hand, there are actually MORE scorers in the bench crew than in the starters at the moment, so there will be more shots for Oden. Joel was promoted when Greg sprained his foot... so really Greg is just back up to speed and getting his starting spot back now that he's good to go againHow is it a demotion? He's still going to get major minutes, and the team still acknowledges his importance. It just come to a time where if we want Oden to develop, he's going to have to get minutes.
Then get ready for a little bit of this:
The day when Greg dunks like he does at 0:31, if it ever happens (let's hope so), is the day it's lights out for the league.
How is it a demotion?
I'm fine with this move. Canzano's kind of irritating me with this talk that this isn't the right move.
Greg is eventually going to have to play and find himself where he fits with LaMarcus and Brandon. There may be a rough transition, but it has to happen eventually and why not do it early on this season against some sub-par teams.
Let the big man loose!

Would you ask this question if Brandon Roy wasn't starting?
