It's funny because my girlfriend brought that up the other day. She's always very critical about the fans that show up to the Zod' and she was amazed to see the fans during the Toronto game. And she brought up the point that maybe they play better on the road in front of packed fans, then the drab surroundings of the Izod Center. I thought maybe this was true especially seeing the way they played in packed games at the Izod center (Detroit and first half of Cleavland game). Which makes you wonder if maybe this team grows a bigger fan base over the course of the season with their inspired play, and make the playoffs, maybe the packed playoff games at the Izod (Or at least more than half full games) would inspire the Nets to have a nice run barring they make the playoffs.

With such a packed hostile environment in Toronto against a team we were supposed to lose to, it makes you wonder. I try to make as many games to Izod as I can and it is disheartening to see so many empty areas of the arena. I wish we had a nicer arena as well. The Izod just looks so dated and it contributes to the dull atmosphere during games.

The arena itself blows. Seats are so far off the court its not a very energizing environment for a fan. It's like watching Hamlet performed in the middle of an airline hangar.

Hey everyone, first post! Not that you care or anything still long time reader of this forum I was just too lazy to sign up.

Anyway yeah our fan base suck, it always sucked but I don't blame fans, most fans are watching the game at home. I think the Nets would have a pretty good fan base of they didn't play where they did its just too hard to get to. It's pretty bad when most people in Jersey can make it to Knicks games easier than Nets games. Shoot I can make it to Devils games easier than Nets games and I don't even like hockey.

Yeah same for me. If the Nets played at The Rock I could be their in less than 10 minutes considering I live right next to the Newark lightrail. It would save me on parking and gas too. Also the Rocks seating makes it a great place to play basketball. Although I don't really mind the seating at Izod right now. I'm a fan of the bowl shaped arenas. These arenas that have 600 different sections to sit in bother the heck out of me.

I remember last season Jason Collins missed a couple free throws (this was like a week before he got traded), and the entire stadium booed him incessantly for the next couple of possessions; bunch of dicks.
