Its obvious neither the Heat or the rockets can put up big wins without there stars.Which one is more valuable to there team?
Tmac without a doubt. Miami sweeped The wizards without Shaq. I don't think Houston has a won a game this season without Tmac.
The Rockets are terrible without Tracy, but pretty good with him. The Heat managed to play .500 ball without Shaq. Therefor I would have to say that Tracy is more valuable to his team.
I think McGrady is more important. When Shaq was injured the Heat did not play that bad without him. But I don't know how they could do without him for a whole season. But McGrady is the Rockets only key player for the most part. If Yao bulked up more and became stronger and more agressive I am sure I would choose Shaq as the more important player.
Well this one is a hard one because both have another superstar besides them.Shaq has Wade and T-Mac has Yao.Maybe it would be a little easier if this was Wade vs T-Mac but this is good to. I think that T-Mac is more valuable to the to his team right now. The reasons are:I trust Wade to carry a team right now more then Yao. I dont see the leadership from Yao that Wade has. Another reason is the suporting cast besides the 2 superstars on this team.The Heat in my opinon have the better suporting cast. They have the glove(Even though he isnt the glove anymore),walker,posey,and williams. The rockets dont really have those type of role players, yes they have Howard and Wesley, but they cant step in and have big games when the stars go out. So even the heat have more talent in the suporting cast if you look at who is in the suporting cast in Miami you wil find out why they need a leader lol.

The Heat on the other hand probably have the most depth in the NBA on their team. Without SHaq they have a vet who is an incredible defender and shot blocker and is pretty good in the post. And besides SHaq isnt even the Heat's star anymore. Dywane Wade is and Wade has shown that he can lead the team without the diesel playing.
I'm going to agree with everybody and say T-Mac. Without T-Mac, the Rockets would be losing terribly. T-Mac holds the Rockets together and is one of the main scoring options for his team. The Heat on the other hand, can go pretty good without Shaq playing, they have Wade to take care of business and they also have JWill, Walker, and Zo to step up if needed.
c'mon we all know that t-mac is more important than shaq to their team. look at miami. half their team can carry a team on their back. w/o t-mac the rockets are w/o their leader. in scoring and whatever. you might not think it but t-mac is also a great play-maker. he puts his touch in every category of the game. the rockets can't win a game w/o t-mac. the heat can.

No doubt T-Mac is clearly more important. Shaq has lossed his dominance in the last couple years. When the lakers were champions Shaq was much more active but rarely do you see the active Shaq now. T-Mac has to carry his team and he has when he's healthy.
It is easily T-mac because the Rockets won wat 3 games when he was out. The Heat on the other hand stayed above the .500 mark with shaq out.Thats wades team not shaqs. The heat were winning before shaq got there and now that he is there they are 1 of the biggest threats in the east. The Rockets played horrible last season without T-mac. Without T-mac they lose offense,defense,rebounds,assists and steals. T-mac is more important then shaq
T-Mac because his team sucks without him, as everyone's already said. The Heat can survive without Shaq, and a lot of times down the stretch of critical games during the playoffs didn't even use him.
I think you guys are 100% right... when i first entered here i thought it was who was better, and ofcoarse shaq is... but Tmac is much more important because frankly the Rockets are weak, and the Heat have man good/great players... even though Houston does have Yao and Stromile they dont mesh without Tmac
