I would like to know what happens with Dutch/Mom/Serial Killer kid.

What happened with Aceveda running for Mayor?

I thought there would be more behind the Dutch and Mom storyline. I can't understand the point of it judging from the ending.

And we're left to believe that Aceveda will win the election. What's the deal with Andre 3000? Who shot him?

Are we left to believe Aceveda got his revenge for being humilated at his own rally? Did he have someone shoot Andre? I doubt it, he seems more ethical than that.

The Dutch story line was a major let down. I was really expecting either Dutch to break the kid or Dutch to be taken into custody and charged.

They should have brought back Jon Kavanaugh (Forest Whitaker) for the final scene. He started the real downfall of the 'Strike Team', and was worked the hardest to take Vic out. That would had been an amazing scene.

I disagree. Kavanaugh rid himself of the burden of trying to bring down Mackey. I think it would've kiled Jon to know that Vic did all of those disgusting acts and got full immunity got for it.

Perhaps a little bit of Vic rubbed off on him. I think it's open to interpretation.
I like Dutch. He solves cases and crimes without having to resort to corruption. The ideal cop.

    Isn't Kavanaugh in prison?

He knows what Vic has done. He just couldn't prove it.

I thought the ending was the best of what you could expect. There were multiple members to the strike team, and you got to see multiple ways of how their situation could end: death, jail, and "freedom" where Vic will be stuck in an eternal hell. I think a lot of people will underlook the impact of Vince never seeing his kids and never saying goodbye. When he found out he'd never see his kids he reacted, but they didn't do a lot with that scene.

I'd love to see the last scene end with Vic leaving the office, turning the corner, and seeing Whittaker right there, smiling at him [credits roll]. Assume he gets out of jail, and gets to see Vic go down.

Think Kavanaugh would had been left off, or easier. He did do a lot for the force.
