I'll take the win but I'm not really happy with the way the Nets played.

Bobby Jackson on Carter. Where do we throw the ball to? The post? Of course not, we give the ball to Vince at the top of the 3 point line! Why Frank?

Why is Bobby Simmons passing up jump shots to put the ball on the floor? And why would the Nets ever pass the ball to Simmons in the post? He's strictly a spot up shooter. He can't take guys off the dribble. Can't post up guys.

Harris was on his way to having an off game until he went all clutch shot making on the Kings. That was great. But it shows how much trouble the Nets are going to have to win games if Carter or Harris aren't on their games every night. Nets need another scorer since we don't know what Yi is going to give any given game and he really just plays off the other guys.

Lopez played very well again. I was so wrong about this guy, and I'm so glad that I am. The guy has been very solid along with Dooling and Hayes. Anderson had a nice bounce back game playing at home.

Can't anyone on the Nets slow down John Salmons?

Wow. I wouldn't even watch sports if I were as miserable about it as you are.

first off nobody seems to stop Salmons... He's been playing really well for the kings lately.

How can you complain about this game where the nets are full of rookies, vc gets injured and they manage to pull off this great win. This win is big cause the rookies are learning how to win, how to win late in games, and never give up. An ugly win is still a win.

Great game by the Cali boys, and i'm very impressed with dooling right now...

    This team is NOT GOOD!!

I know it takes some getting used to, but it will be a while before they are an above average NBA team.

Right now every win is gravy.

I was getting the Sacramento coverage on League Pass, so didn't really get any info on VC's injury.

Did the give any updates on YES?

Nice. The guy makes several key plays to help win a game and it's an opportunity to take another shot at him.

Like I said before, he's physically done and shouldn't be playing, but mentally he's a good player.

I hope Maccabi goes on a 20 game winning streak! :smiley-tongue:

i'm liking Simmons more and more lately. He is playing very smart, and doing alot of things that are leading to wins... The pass to vc in the toronto game and just playing some very tough defense...

They've gone on way longer streaks before, I wouldn't be surprised. :)

The guy missed a key free throw, airballed a shot in OT, fumbled the ball on a drive that should've led to a TO (Lopez fouled the crap out of whoever dived on that ball)...I could go on. He was a black hole on the court and Hayes would have been a better option. I'm not saying that he didn't have some smart plays, but as you said he shouldn't be playing.

Maybe he was decent, but he had some boneheaded plays and paled in comparison to VC, Harris, Dooling, etc. Which probably caused him to look worse than he really did.

But he did make a lot of good plays, too. His fake to shoot three FT and his steal at the end of regulation are the obvious ones. (And he earned three FT, so you can't kill him for missing one.)

I keep repeating myself, but CDR and Najera are probably going to take all of his minutes. It's good Frank got an extended look at him so it was easy to determine that he is pretty much shot.

!@#$%^ and this is the game I had to miss :( Wednesday is the only day off of my g/f :(

Guys, can anybody make a quick recap of the game and how our players did. From box score looks like Brook and Ryan had good games and Sean... as usual.

Sean had a NASTY, NASTY block on Hawes (?).

I was at the game! I'll post pics and a recap when I get time tomorrow I hope. Getting late.
