Do you realise that every band you have named are on the Madden 09 soundtrack? Try Hell Yeah by Rev Theory
really love a lot of Pantera songs. Fucking hostile and Cowboys from Hell being 2 favs. the lead singer's voice isn't annoying either.. which is good considering how many bad singers there are in metal.
Phil Anselmo's voice before all the drugs was awesome. In case you didnt know Pantera was a glam metal band before Cowboys from Hell....nobody's perfect
lol, did not know that. glam metal was popular in the 80's. what'd you think of the Matt Good vids I posted on page 1? not has hardcore, but he's one of those guys who grow on you after a couple of listens. any other good metal/hard rock I should check out? I like Pantera/Metallica/Godsmack type stuff for the most part.
Oh yeah forgot to mention 'Walk' by Pantera, love that too. Rob Van Damn used to come out to that back in his ECW days.. you know when ECW was the f'n shit and not total shit like it is now.
So a somewhat obscure suggestion here, but a band I've been listening to a lot recently is Rush. They definitely don't fall under the heavy metal category, but they're very, very good. Plus, Neil Pert is probably one of the best drummers ever...so listen to them for the sole sake of hearing his brilliance. Plus...they have tons of material to check out as well, seeing as how they've been around for forever.
LOL I can't STAND Rush.. hate the lead singers voice.. like listening to fingernails on a chalk board annoying.
Lol, to each their own I guess. I think Geddy has a great voice, even at his age and after the amount of performances they've put on over the past few decades. Regardless, you have to appreciate the musicianship at the least. Neil is one of the best drummers ever (at least in my book), Geddy is a fantastic bassist and Alex is an incredible guitar player as well.
Okay Here is one band i really like Finch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32rRtt6hF94 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlM0d6yLKDc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AsmA3l9J-0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaHxhPT3D3E Underrated. Lyrically Good. Musically Good
Holy crap, another Finch fan! I have both their What It Is To Burn and Say Hello To Sunshine albums. I love em, though the latter was a bit of a disappointment in comparison to What It Is To Burn.
I wasn't even aware they released a new EP, I might have to hunt it down. Which album is it more comparable to? Because their style is distinctly different between WIITB and SHTS.
