He's been struggling, BAD. I mean, he is a decent defender and does have a good luckin' shot, but he cannot get them to go down. Like I was telling my wife yesterday (she watches all the games with me) if Simmons would make a third of his shots he would easily be averaging 15 points per game, and he's a decent rebounder so make that 15 ppg, and 5 or 6 rpg, wouldn't be a bad pick up BUT HE HAS TO MAKE THE OPEN SHOTS!
He makes 40% from three and 36% overall. Not great but he's definately making more than 1/3 of his shots.

He has started to play better the last three games...averaging 10 and 6 while shooting 46%--five for 11--from downtown. Hayes hasn't hit a three pointer in those three games. He has foot problems the last two years, but he claims he is completely healthy. I doubt that. When he was completely healthy in 2005, he had a monster year, averaging 16, 6 and 3, shooting 44% from downtown.
