Roy #9 on Kahn's List as of right now. The only chance Roy has of winning is if we finish with a #1 seed. And that would be an amazing story. He was amazing in the game against the Kings and I was there witnessing it first hand. Keep it up Roy! http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/pgStory?contentId=8808268#sport=NBA&photo=8807714
This list is bullshit if Chris Bosh isn't on it, hes #2 in the league in scoring 2nd in minutes hes scored 40 or more twice already this year, one of which was with 18 rebs with a 39 point game to boot 2 days ago. Also his MVP Peirce is averaging 19pnt, 7 reb 3.6 asts on 40% FG shooting.... RIGHT
Yup. I was looking at the quotes under the article and they are dated back on the 18th. Roy is in good company right now. He's an all-star, but I wouldn't put him on superstar level right now just because I don't think he dominates games night in and night out yet. He lets the game come to him on most nights and with the cast he has around him, that's all he needs to do most of the time. If we do finish with the #1 or #2 seed, he'll have to be on the ballot.
As much as I love Roy there is no chance of him winning MVP. The MVP goes to a player on a top team, where that team would be garbage without them. Without Roy he Blazers are still a very solid team. He had a horrible game against the Heat, and everybody else stepped up. Of course the Heat aren't the best team, but we have plenty of guys who can score outside of Roy. Besides like someone else said we would have to finish 1st.
he's mentioned in the second 10 in today's NBA.com. not sure why billups is in the top 10. http://www.nba.com/2008/news/features/rob_peterson/11/28/112808racetomvp/index.html
Brilliant, Wade (who's team in under .500 in the East) is more deserving than Kobe, Chris Paul, or Amare who is not even on your list.
Yep, that is MY MVP list... I just put in how I thinkt he players are playing, I do not consider their teams... I don't really like how the NBA gives out the MVP awards. Thanks.
