If they made that pact...wow. Though I don't know if that's financially possible unless they're all willing to take some type of a paycut.
Bill Simmons needed something to write about other than fantasy basketball. His articles have been getting more and more silly and speculative lately. I read one today about how he thinks Chris Paul and Scott aren't getting along.....for no reason.
The reason was body language, the team atmosphere and a possible reason why the Hornets have looked a tad disappointing this year. He also said he's basing this on the one game he attended live so he could see how the team interacted in the huddle and pre-game so it's not like he said it with absolute conviction.
The thought of having to deal with stories like this for 2 more years, is already giving me a headache.
+1 my man... I'm sick of the Knicks getting so much damn respect. They've been a good not very good franchise throughout the history of the game and get too much props as being the 'mecca' of basketball. I'm tired of this where will Lebron go garbage already and I'm sure Cavs fans want to throw up in their mouths at the thought of him leaving town and Raptors fans must be crossing their fingers and their toes hoping they don't lose the franchise's 3rd ever superstar.
Do you honestly think any of those three will take a pay cut to make this happen? James is already talking about accepting nothing less than the max.
If I were Wade and Bosh, well maybe not so much Wade, but definately Bosh, I would take that pay cut to play with those other 2, The money he would make off endorsements for being part of the best team ever would be disgusting. (In a good way)
If Miami doesn't make any signings this summer, and don't pick up team options on certain guys, they can have nearly $50 million in capspace, and would only have Beasley and Banks under contract. That is enough pie for all 3. PG-Marcus Banks SG-Dwyane Wade SF-Lebron James PF-Michael Beasley C- Chris Bosh Why not all come together in Miami, all get the max, and then have a fourth wheel in Beasley? Eh, I guess New York is what you get when you ask three guys without a college diploma to hatch up a plan.
The Nets appear to have no hope at the Bronx stadium, and they have no chance at landing anybody in 2010 without it.
