What player impacted the way the game is played currently more then anyone? Right now i'd say Mchale, he was really the 1st dominant PF in the game.
I think it goes like this:"Jumpin" Joe Fulks- Without him I am not sure if we would be using the jump shot..Bob Cousy- Wrote the book for flashy moves and fancy dribbles. He paved the way for guys like Steve Francis, Stephon Marbury, ectLarry Bird/Magic Johnson - The NBA was at a struggle before these 2 arrived. They put the NBA on the map in the 80'sMichael Jordan- No need to explain.Carmelo Anthony/Lebron James/Dywane Wade- Its like the Magic-Bird situation talent in the NBA these days are getting slim. These young guys are adding flair back in the league.I love watching the NBA evolve. My favorite evolution is the dunk contest. When DrJ took off from the foul line he ran to his dunk, Jordan added to that by dribbling his way to the dunk which is much harder, Vince Carter added to that by doing it with 2 hands instead of one.I love this game :winkglasses:
Pistol Pete Marivich added the flashy playground moves to the game. Without him, guys like Jason Williams would not be the same.
George Mikan. He changed so many rules that we see today. Its a shame that the youngsters has no clue who he is
Dr. J brought the flashy dunks to the game. WIthout him I odnt think people like Lebron or JRich would be doing some of those dunks.
Elgin Baylor was the really the first big time dunker. But the Doctor helped revolutionised the dunk also.

Allen Iverson- Aside from the NBA, nobody rocked the 'rows before AI, every kid you see in the playground wears #3, and he is a role model to teenagers because he is proving to them you can be successfull no matter what kind of situation you are in living in the hood.
Yea Allen Iverson. Besides representing the struggle that he had to go through just to get to where he is today, he also revolutionized the crossover in the NBA. The crossover was not used as much until they saw him break the ankles of MJ...that one was a classic.
that guy from the globetrotters in the 50's, he was the first ever to have all the crossovers and behind the back moves and between his legs
