That's not as much of an accomplishment as you think it is.

Harris is a more explosive scorer (but I think Roy could score a lot more if he really was focused on it) - but overall - I still think I would take my chances with Roy - his greatest advantage is that he is a much smarter player than most players he works against and people underestimate basketball-IQ.

And I would think Roy is going against the best defender on the other team, where the best defender going against the Nets is probably going to be guarding Vince Carter.

As good as Roy is, Harris has really surprised me this year, so my vote goes to Harris.

Given that they play different postions . . . I think the discussion should be more of how strong a team it would be if they both played together . . . in a Blazer uni of course. :D

    I have to say Roy.

I think Harris is a better scorer but not by much. Roy is better in the other areas imo.

Roy. He has a better cast around him, and he still contributes well. He's a year younger than Harris, and I think he's a step ahead. Plus his clutch play is some of the best in the league.

Better player is Roy by a decent amount.

Having a better year? Its Roy by a small amount. Harris is having a good year and doing great statistically, but what Roy does doesn't show up on the stat sheet. He is an unbelievable leader and is insanely clutch among other things. He does EVERYTHING for a team, knows when to take over and get to the line, knows how to set up his teammates, and knows how to defer to teammates in a way that is best for the team.

He is by far the main reason we are 13-6 and tied for 2nd in the West.

It is pretty close this year because of Harris' empirical explosion recently. His True Shooting percentage is now over five points better and look at how many times he goes to the line (so far at least).

Just taking a look at the amount of PER they allow shows that neither is an impressive defender. For now I'd take Devin I suppose, he's not just jacking up shots on an average team; he's been quite efficient. A True Shooting percentage over 60 is very uncommon.

Roy is third in the league for guards getting to the line, behind only Bryant and Wade. This has really only started developing this season, and is growing almost nightly (Washington Refs not withstanding) which should help a lot since the Blazers were one of the worst in that category last year.

Roy doesn't always need to put up big numbers, in some respects he is Bryant-esque in that he plays hard when he needs to, and lets his team get their numbers up when he doesn't need to.

    Voted Brandon

    Over their career: Roy

Now: Harris can take over the game much more than Roy can. Devin also has the advantage for not playing for a complete garbage franchise.

Gonna have to disagree with Harris being able to take of a game much more than Roy can.

And if it is a garbage franchise, its one that is 14-6 :ghoti:

total free throws attempts doesn't really matter as people have played different amount of games. free throw attempts per game does.

and i said he was 19th in the league(i know you were just using guards).

among guards he's behind harris, wade, kobe, paul, vince, billups, iverson, kevin martin(only 8 games), and stephen jackson depending on whether you consider him a guard or forward.
