Stein has us fourth while crazy Hollinger has us at third. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/powerranking http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2009&week=5
Re: New Power Rankings LOL, I hope Boston doesn't see Hollinger's rankings when we roll in. They might feel like "correcting" him.
Re: New Power Rankings http://basketball.realgm.com/src_fe..._team_rankings_for_the_week_of_november_17th/ RealGM has us at 15
Re: New Power Rankings Actually, they have us at 5th: http://basketball.realgm.com/src_fe...m_team_rankings_for_the_week_of_december_1st/ The link you posted is two weeks old. BNM
Interesting! New ESPN Power Rankings! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2009&week=5 Guess where we are? Here's the title: "Power Rankings: Blazers break into top 5" niiice
Re: Interesting! New ESPN Power Rankings! Portland in 4th, the 2nd best team in the west. For those that don't want to guess
Re: Interesting! New ESPN Power Rankings! Denver's in fifth and honestly their play recently since getting Billups scares me a bit. They're playing well..
Re: New Power Rankings Yahoo has done their own ranking on the blazers. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...nkings-Brandon-Roy-Blazers-kee?urn=nba,125527
Re: New Power Rankings We should be able to hold our spot if we beat the Knicks, Wizards, and Raptors but lose to the Celtics on this 5 game road trip.
Re: Interesting! New ESPN Power Rankings! You know, they're playing really well and I think they could beat us in a 7 game series right now. However, I think by the end of the year when Oden is in shape and the team has learned how to work with him better a team like Denver wouldn't last 5 against Portland. Portland is just going to be too strong in the paint. I think the mistake of getting rid of Camby is now magnified. They'd be a legitimate Championship contender this season if they had Camby.
Hollinger's formula just gave Portland 100% odds of making the playoffs. I personally think it's too early to make a call like that, but I liked seeing it anyway.
It's been mentioned that we're on Yahoo's new power rankings but if you check RIGHT THIS INSTANT, we are featured on the FRONT page of Yahoo! That's awesome. www.yahoo.com http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...nkings-Brandon-Roy-Blazers-kee?urn=nba,125527
does anyone know of any articles that compare Hollingers playoff predictions with what actually happened last year? I'd like to see a comparison of the two after 20 games after 40 games after 60 games after 80 games As far as I know, he's using the same formula this year as last year.
