True, and for the overall game him playing would have had an obvious impact. I was just talking about the individual one on one play of Bynum/Bosh.
I seen some hilites last nite and Bynum looked really good. I can understand you posting in here since there's been a couple threads challenging Bynum compared to Oden.
MODS!!! Can we PLEASE have this topic either moved to the Laker forum or to the Blazer Off Topic list?
Damn I get tired of people asking topics to be moved. Who gives a shit, it's interesting topic and there are already two pages on this. His point is he enjoys talking with the people in this forum because it's good discussion and all people on here can do is bitch because it has something to do with a Laker. I hate the Lakers as much as anyone on here but doesn't mean I don't enjoy talking shit to some of the Laker fans especially when they are at least somewhat intelligent about their views. He's talking about Bynum in here because he knows deep down that Oden and he are going to be the elite Centers in the league for the next 10-15 years with Oden dominating Bynum
Come on, Kingspeed made a couple threads about Oden being better than Bynum and people are whining that Daloser is making one post about Bynum?
I think its a good subject. Some people were comparing him to Oden, and DaRazzleDazze was keepin' us up to date on how he is doing. Oden had a 10 point, 13 rebound and 3 block game in our road win over Detroit, but the stats don't nearly show how he dominated the paint. It was awesome... his 5th or so double double of the season (and had another game of 13 and 8 and 2/3)... He is starting to come into his own, and we are starting to learn how to play with him... which is why we have been so damn good lately.
I agree, the stats don't tell the whole story by far with Oden! Plus he's just going to get better! Just imagine this is just his rookie year after a major surgery. He's going to be a beast!
It's not on-topic, so it should be moved and the OP knew that when he put it here! Don't feed the pigeons or they'll never go away. This is the Trail Blazers board and Bynum (thankfully) is not our center.
The beauty of GO is that the stats do tell the story about him - it's just not the individual stats - but the team stats. Portland has gone from #30 in defensive efficiency before the Miami game when he came back to #14 (or #15 with the same score as Utah) in 2 weeks of play. You just have to know where to look at the stats to see how good GO was for this team - and it is not in his individual scoring numbers.
I've never heard Bosh referred to as undersized. Isn't he like 6'11", not to mention one of the best PF's in the game right now. It's just that Pau and Bynum are both a bit taller. Bosh isn't like Carl Landry or something.
I disagree I come in here to talk hoops as long as it is remotely Blazer related I'm fine with what ever topic someone wants to start. Why do people care so much whether it's posted in here? Do you have to read it? Do you have to respond? I just don't get what the big deal is. If your not interested in the thread dont read it and don't post to it. Read the post that you like and ignore the rest. The funny part about all of this is that the people complaining rarely post in the first place.
Chris Bosh is 6-10 with a very long neck and 230lbs - he is an excellent player - but he is undersized. I did not see the game - so I can only speculate - but it seems that when your best interior player is an undersized PF (excellent as he is - but what makes him great is his very quick first step and skill - not the ability to move people around) - he is going to be overmatched when there are two very long players (Bynum/Gasol) that are quick and can concentrate on containing him.
Bingo...its new members who dont realize Ive been shooting the shit with you guys for some time now. All they see is a Lakers fan and go on the attack...which is understandable within reason
19 points 10 rebounds 3 blocks 1 ast 1 steal 8/11 FG...and he had some sick footwork tonight in the block. Game got REAL ugly at the end...actually had a 19 point lead in the 4th...ugh...gotta stop relaxing ...and dont anyone dare call me a troll for this...We discussed Oden vs Bynum all summer long so why should it stop now when they are actually playing...
Ouch...how did he look body language wise? I read some of you guys talking about how he looks a little down and not too confident with himself. Was he getting position and just not getting fed the ball? I saw he ended up 2/4FG.
Pre-game. Oden consistently looks like someone shot his dog. Idk why he's so down. He doesn't have much reason to be.
