I keep seeing this brooklyn but what is the reality of this really happen?? Maybe the Nets should look else where Seattle
We played like a team that won only two games and the Wizards played like they have the EASTERN Conference player of the week and just won 3 games straight.
This game just shows the Nets weaknesses. If Devin and/or Vince are not going off on the other team then the Nets poor defense, poor production from the starting SF and PF spots get exposed. Another interesting thing is in a lot of the Nets blowout losses, it has been the 3rd quarter where the opposing team was able to open a nice lead and then cruise to victory in the 4th. Nets vs Suns: 8 point lead at the half. Opened it to a 15 point lead after 3 and blew out the Nets by 28. Nets vs Pacers: 2 point lead for Nets at the half. Pacers outscore Nets by 10 in 3rd and then cruise to victory in 4th winning by 18. Nets vs Cavs: 3 point lead for Nets at half. Cavs outscore Nets by 15 in the 3rd and cruise to a 24 point victory in the 4th. Nets vs Lakers: 2 point Laker lead at the half. Lakers outscore the Nets by 12 in the 3rd and cruise to a 27 point victory in the 4th. Nets vs Wizards: 1 point lead for Wizards at the half. Wizards outscore the Nets by 23 in the 3rd and cruise to a 20 point victory in the 4th.
Lawrence Frank is pissing me the **** off. There was a time in the 2nd and 3rd quarter..where VC got NO touches. Every play was for him to just stand in the corner. There were TWO post up plays run for VC. And by the time he got the ball, he was cold and nothing was going down. This team can't be the Devin Harris Show..
what in the world happend... i didnt even watch the game yet just got home from work but wow we lost?!?! to the wiz? MAN!!! wheres our consistency!
I don't get the complaints about Vince not getting the ball enough. He shot 17 times. In the last 5 games, he shot 19, 17, 18, 11 and 14 times. His shots per game average this season is 16.5. He just had an off night, happens to everyone. No need to give the ball to a player who's having a weak game.
even though its the wizards, i would've like to see Frank draw up plays for both Lopez and YI in order for them to get their confidence going... but noooooooooo i'm might come off annoying for repeating this but until Frank gets Yi and Lopez into the offensive game plan the game will get harder for both devin and VC i mean what's the point in looking for that true C a real CENTER for that matter if your not even going to use him! there were few times where brook was in the paint all alone (SWAT had his spots too!) and no one passed the ball! Brook was up against another rookie so the pressure was nonexistent for him to get to the hoop! but NOOOOO lets not and ignore what brook can do for us other than grab boards and box out.... as for YI, i swear and think its by design he stays around the 3pt too much sure he has a good shoot/release he's almost money when he's inside for a shot but his 7ft ass is negated by staying behind the 3.... sorry for that ranting but Frank is still an annoyance to me and has been for years... he makes too many guys one dimensional
most of us here knew the wizards were a better team than their record stated, and most of us knew they are one of the best 3 pt shooting in the league last year. It was a matter of time before they had a break out game, unfortunately it was against the nets. Don't be surprised if the wiz win like 5 in a row or something like that. It was just one game, and like the first game against the suns, they were just hot, and sometimes there is nothing you can do to stop it. The pacers beat the lakers last night, so does that mean anything? I think not, just an off night that happens once in a while in the nba.
Really didn't get a chance to see the game last night, but after reading this thread i'm convinced some of these posters on this board are bio-polar.... Relax its a long season and this is a very young team...
I'm not one to generally let folks escape personal responsibility, and, as a team, the Nets simply played with no energy or intensity. All the rest is secondary because that one element, which has been present in almost every road game and all victories, affects and infects every other parameter of performance: rebounding, defense, ball movement, aggressiveness going to the basket. They didn't have it. But I am absolutely convinced that they would not have experienced such an emotional low for 4 WHOLE QUARTERS if they had a decent-sized crowd that communicated genuine enthusiasm and support. Is it too late to try to get all of our games played in opponents' buildings? Maybe they can get the IZOD staff to agree to play really loud recordings of crowds in other arenas oohing, ahhing, clapping, cheering, and shouting "DE-FENSE" (bom bom) in rhythm. One thing's for sure: this team will have to learn how to generate its own excitement and energy at home if it wants to do well in that building.
They should take the team to Newark while we wait for Brooklyn, is it indeed happens. Because at the Izod there's no home advantage.
I agree that building is a problem, but both teams are playing in it so eventually you learn to deal with it. If anything they should be use to it more than the competition.
