9 rebounds in each of his first two games starting. It's a role Gomes is used too and I hope he continues to start with AL J/Kendrick injured because we all know Raef can't handle the load anymore. Gomes was my favorite pick from last year's draft. I've been waiting all season for Gomes to start playing more and he's finally getting his chance.

Raef has been playing great basketball these last few games. I will agree that his role with this team has changed this season, so his minutes are down. But to say he can't "handle the load" is a vast overstatement.

When did Raef ever carry the load? when did any of our bigs carry the load? It's been even for a while w/ our posts, and Raef is definitely not carry the load now. Ryan Gomes has stepped up, and i think he's earned the starting spot.

Gomes should keep starting for a few reasons: 1) We already have injuries at that spot. 2) Raef sucks. 3) He's a rookie, let's get our rookies experience and play for a top lotto pick. (thinking long term, not 8th seed for a sweep by Detroit)

I should have made myself more clear, by raef carrying the load, I basically meant he just can't produce night after night.

Regardless of his age or experience, i think the kid deserves to play bc he works his <Censored> off and he's playing better than the others.

I think he deserves to start, but only until Al gets back. Once Big Al gets back, I think it's best if we go with Raef and Al as our starting bigs.

Big Al and Perk is gonna be so insane when they both develop more and get big minutes. :yahoo:

actually, Perk is expected back before Al. he is listed as day-to-day at the moment. I think it's a better idea to bring Al off the bench for now, bc our bench is weak and he would be the only scorer there.

Honeslty I don't see why you wouldn't keep Gomes in the starting lineup. At a competitive level, wouldn't Gomes have more experience in the starting role? He's a little bit older and more mature and I don't think I've ever seen Gomes slack at all. Until I see Gomes play like sh*t, I say keep him in the lineup

when everyone is healthy, i would like to see:

    Starters
    C: Perk
    PF: Raef
    SF: Wally
    SG: Paul
    PG: Delonte

Raef needs to get going early. Due to his knees and conditioning, he is only effective for so long and needs to get the ball early. He is a very good 1st quarter player, needs some rest in the 2nd (but should finish the last 5 mins of 2nd) and then after that, his knees kinda die down and he is not as effective in the 2nd half, especially the 4th.

    2nd Unit
    C: Kandi
    PF: Big Al
    SF: Ryan
    SG: Gerald
    PG: Orien
    Garbage minutes: Scal

Why no Tony? He is not ready to play. His athleticism and overall ability to play on both ends of the floor is greatly diminished this year. I mean I definitely understand why, due to his injury to pile on top of his off-court issues, but we rushed him back. I would like to see him shut down until he fully heals and give Gerald minutes to develope. He has so much upside and i dont want to see another young Celtic go to waste.

Kandi rebounds and clogs the paint. Let him. His contract expires at the end of the year, and i think we should let it run out, then work a sign-and-trade and package him (we cant package him now). You won't be able to get a very good deal unless he plays. If you don't play him it decreases his value.

I see where your coming from mostly but Al is better than Perk..and Raef is a 6th man that needs to be a spark off the bench, you never know when he'll be on..I'd rather have Gomes in..atleast you know you'll get 10 pts and 8-10 rebounds each game he plays

I want Raef LaFrentz off this ball club, he's taking up valuable minutes for so many young guys that need this playing time. It's really pissing me off

That's ok yall Boston fans can enjoy this win. Yall just lucky Kobe aint make that shot. Also if LA would have end bonded the ball into Lamar Odom we would have won cause yall bad defense left him wide open right under the basket.
