Both overpaid (at very similar contracts), both injury prone. I'd say the Raps could probably use the perimeter scoring that Mags provides as opposed to the jack of all trades, master of none style that Wallace brings. Wallace seems redundant with Jamario Moon. BTW, ilmago, I would argue that Wallace isn't that good of a defender. he gets a nice amount of steals and blocks but his on ball defense is just ok. Still better than Mags LOL.
As much as i would love to have Mags on raps, I have to take wallace his just too good of a player (unselfish too) plus it would be nice to have a real Big three (3 players who are capable to take over a game, eg bosh, o neal and wallace)
A turd is redundant with Jamario Moon's game. Gerald Wallace would be bringing something entirely new to this team (driving ability, athleticism that isn't wasted, hustle). Maggette might be a better perimeter scorer than Wallace, but this team already has enough long-range shooters. Gerald is the man this team needs.
Wallace recently let it be known he won't play in Toronto, according to a report. Maggette is a stat stuffer and he is equally injury prone. Plus his defense is no upgrade over our current situation. Looks like neither.
