    Portland was nearly named "Boston". A Portland, ME and Boston, MA resident flipped a coin over the name of an Oregon city. Luckily, the Portland, ME resident won, and we're known as Portland, OR, as opposed to Boston, OR.

    In the season opener, the Blazers got their arse whipped by the losing half of last year's championship duo. The Blazers have settled down and improved considerably since that point.

    I look at this game as another reality check for us Blazer fans - where are we in terms of the truly elite teams. Yeah, we are playing well and are recognized as a good team now but we're not elite.

    The Celtics don't have to prove their elite - they are the measure of eliteness right now.

    Get blown out like we did in LA - not happy.
    Hang with Boston - I can live with that.
    Lose a squeaker - I can live with but it would also make for a lot of complaining (by Blazer fans)
    Win a squeaker - Like it - lots of complaining by Celtic fans
    Win - Oh yeah.
    Blow out the Celtics - Hey, we can fantasize can't we? :ghoti:
