Re: My First Ever sig. Yeh You need to download new brushes and fonts, just Google "GIMP brushes" and a million answers appear.

Re: My First Ever sig. Well I'm Hardly a "Master" look at my stuff lol. Like I said download Loads of Fonts and Brushes and just go crazy and stuff. Also download some Vector Packs too.

The blue font doesn't really fit with your color scheme, and it still looks like you're just slapping any arbitrary font onto your canvas.
Good luck trying to get anything from GMJ Download fonts: go to dafont, it's free and some of them are pretty good.
