Analysis: There are some pretty bad teams in the NBA and the Timberwolves are certainly one of them. This should be a tough night for the 'wolves. They are playing in the swamp and the Nets are reeling from a loss to the currently lowly Wizards. Expect the Nets to rebound from their loss in a big way. They Nets over match the 'wolves at just about all positions except center where Al Jefferson can hold his own. It is also possible the Mike Miller won't play because of a knee injury, so the stars might align for the Nets even more for this game.

    Prediction: 110 - 90 Nets victory.

I know after the road trip everybody here was a bit high on the nets. What seemed to be an improbable feat. But maybe we were overestimated them a bit because of their west coast road trip.

They started out losing to the lakers who were as advertised. They did play well for the first half then folded.

Then they played the Kings and came up with a almost unbelievable finish to pull the victory out of the jaws of defeat. To come back from 6 points down with less than 34 seconds left and the Kings had possession of the ball is almost a miracle. Give credit to the kings for just being so stupid, and more credit to the nets for winning without VC down the stretch in OT...

Then they played the Jazz who were pretty banged up having no Booser and a gimpy Williams. I don't think Williams at full speed allows Harris to do what he did to him normally.

Then they beat the suns at home and that seemed to have really shown the nets have arrived. But lets take a look at the Suns for a second. They lost to the heat, then lost to the nets, then lost to the Mavs and are currently on a 4 game losing streak. Something is wrong with Phoneix and maybe the nets timing was right when they played them.

Next they played the Wizards at home and put up a stinker. Was it over confidence? Was it due to the fact the wizards are better than their record and were due a breakout night? Or was it Jet lag for the young nets who experienced their first extended west coast road trip, and are learning how to deal with the rigors of nba life?

Either way i see tonight as an important test for the young nets. A loss tonight will almost erase the great work they did last week...

Anyway, i expect the nets to win tonight, I'd call it a 114-98 victory, and VC and DH and co will right the ship... Your thoughts..,

    enjoy dan!

I won't be there tonight, banged up my knee playing Hoops, but can't wait to watch this one. It should be interesting to see how we try to contain Jefferson, and perhaps we will see some Twin vs. Twin action! I'm actually looking forward to seeing Collins getting some playing time, actually.

Gomes and Smith will eat up Yi if last year was any indication. I still think we win, but get ready for the Yi bashing.

Nets need to play some defense. Especially the 3pt, letting scrubs take over the game.

Jason Collins returns to the house he built!!

    Is this his first return?

Nets by 25. Devin has 30 and VC follows with 25.

He may not play; he is nursing a sore ankle I believe.

I'll be at the game, I'm rooting for Twin of the Twin Cities. The Nets got so fleeced in that trade. Collins has had more blocks, rebounds, steals, and assists than Swift since that trade, and almost as many points.

Al Jefferson took what he wanted against Jason Collins, and will surely rip Yi/Anderson/Sean/Brook a new one. I'll predict 27 pts, 14 rebounds, and a Wolves win unless Devin can draw fouls on him and keep him on the bench.

Al Jefferson is one of the best offensive bigman in NBA. He'll get his, no doubt. Just don't like the scrubs get hot.

I better not have to be watching this game in the 4th......anything less than a double-digit difference in score would be a dissapointment.
