Everything about me says this is crazy, but the guy defending Martin here makes some decent points. http://dimemag.com/2008/12/whos-better-kevin-martin-or-vince-carter/ I still give it to Vince easy though.
I agree with the second writer in the article. Even Ian Eagle mentioned how Vince has a flair for the dramatic. He never backs down from last second shots or clutch plays and until Martin pads the resume with the many buzzer beaters and big plays Vince has done, I won't consider him better. It should also be noted that Vince's teams have made the playoffs in most of his years while he was THE GUY while Kmart has been to the playoffs but on the efforts of Peja and Bibby. Right now Martin looks like a better Richard Hamilton which is pretty darn good and if he had any help the Kings would get somewhere. Which leads me to say that KMart now against Vince at 26 is no contest since Vince has taken teams to the playoffs with very little help.
take these debates with a grain of salt. both great players. one is on another level. ill let you decide which one of the two that is.
I'd rather have VC any day of the week as well but this statement is just hilariously inaccurate. Martin is a starter no matter where he goes. Coaches will shift lineups for a guy with his skill set, at least the smart ones will.
