I really wanted to select the Blazers, but alas, logic says the celtics win. I would rather go into the game expecting a loss and be thrilled if by some chance we pull off the win, than go into the game expecting a win and being depressed if lose. In the end, I just really want the game to be a good game all around, playoff level emotions and effort. And keep the refs out of way, let the players dictate who wins. I really do believe that the Blazers stand a decent chance of winning, but that the greater chance is still that the Celtics win. I would say 30% chance that Blazers win.
Blazer fan here. This one is gonna be ugly I think for the road team. We are better, but not there yet. Good luck the rest of the season
Looking at these two rosters I had the strange thought: What if the Telfair trade was never made, and Ainge was transformed into a good GM and had made the same brilliant move that Pritchard did to steal Roy from the Rockets AND the Celtics had won the lotto the next season to nab Oden, instead of the Blazers. The C's roster would be something like this: Rondo Roy Pierce Jefferson Oden Still have Powe, Delonte West, plus whatever you get for the 2008 draft pick. Plus, the C's would currently hold the valuable expiring contract attached to Wally Z, and the even more valuable expiring and insurance coverered contract of the injured LaFrentz. One or both of those can be traded for a good player. The Blazers roster would be something like this: Blake (Telfair) Rudy Durant Aldridge Pryzbilla
That's an interesting theory, but that's a lot of coincidence's. I'm happy with a title so I wouldn't change anything.
Wow the C's started off with some sloppy play, but still look pretty good. Gotta tighten up a bit on D, Blazers are getting some good looks and too easy baskets.
