I would agree, but we did have a huge meltdown in LA. That's really inexcusable. I know LA is playing great basketball so far this season, but we had an opportunity to win, and we let it slip. I guess it has a lot to do with the bench. In reality, our bench sucks. I don't know what the deal is with Bass, but he has been underachieving, this season. Other than Terry, who has been consistent? Green? Wright? Shawne Williams?! I could understand why the Mavs are rejecting all offers fro Kidd; he's playing great basketball. Maybe his numbers are a little bit down, but he's still getting it done, and shooting very well.
Kidd is getting it done and I can still see him doing better as the season goes. The Mavs are getting there, a little slow, but getting there. If anything, the bench is what has to be fixed. I don't really consider Terry as a back up. Wright and Green has to be more consistent as well as Bass. Like what you guys have been saying, Bass is under achieving. Diop has had his moments, but he should be doing more, a lot more. As for JJ Barea, I think his doing the best he can. He's going to get better with Kidd. I think that Stack is done in Dallas, time to go their separate ways. There's still a lot to be done to be able to compete against the Lakers, Celtics and the Cavs. But it's not mission impossible. Dallas was right there with the Lakers in both meetings. It's something positive to build on. Like I've said before, Kidd is still key which doesn't surprise me with the offers for him being rejected at this point.
I'd like to know who's offering what for Kidd. Nets had a hard time getting the type of deal they wanted. I wonder if the Mavericks might be turning down a good deal for them.
Sometimes I question what the hell he is doing on the court. He tends to make bad decisions. If I had to guess, Portland, Chicago, Atlanta, Golden State might have the most interest in Kidd.
Barrea has played well the last few games. But your right, he makes bad decisions, as a point, but as a 2 guard, he has flourished with Kidd. But I don't expect Carlisle to have both of them on the floor too much, especially down the stretch of the season. But he will be a good man off the bench. I don't expect him to start over Kidd anytime soon.
Last game he made some difficult shots. Shots that normally wouldn't have gone in. But I guess, I'm just nit-picking. Barea isn't going to start for long. He isn't too good of a shooter, and undersized. LOL @ him starting. As long as Kidd is around, that's not going to happen.
