Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Hawks Love Of Harrington Meant No ArtestSacramento Bee - 02/13 - 10:42 AM ESTHawks coach Mike Woodson didn't delve too deep into the topic of his team's interest in Kings forward Ron Artest last month, but he did give some indication as to the value Atlanta places on free agent to be Al Harrington."Anytime you put a player on the (trading) block such as Artest, it opens a lot of eyes," Woodson said. "Al Harrington's name kept coming up. We like Harrington, and that's one reason we weren't willing to pull the trigger."Not that Woodson doesn't appreciate Artest's game, or how he can impact the Kings."What he brings is toughness," Woodson said. "I like (Sacramento's) personnel. I think they have a really talented team. When they get Bonzi (Wells back from injury), that's scary. They've got a ton of talent."</div> I would hardly call it love, I would call it, contract is up and he can leave, and we have Josh Smith, Marvin Williams and Josh Childress to fill in his place.
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. yea but its a shame to the hawks thats he will most likely leave in free agency
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. They should trade him though. THey could get some picks and good point talent with an expiring contract.
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. I've read articles about the Hawks trying to persuade Philadelphia into a sign-and-trade that would send Harrington to Philadelphia in return for Samuel Dalembert. I don't know how true that is, nor do I know how I would feel as a Sixers fan if that trade went down...I'm sure ATL is trying (or will try) to work out a sign-and-trade if they know that Harrington won't re-sign.
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. I've given up listening to rumors, that Billy Knight has thrown out to the media.
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. The Warriors are practically Begging for Harrington I say why not bring in another star like Baron Davis od Jason Richardson? if Golden state would agree I say :beerchug: cheer cherr the hawks are going to the playoffs.

I doubt Philly wants to pay al harrington near $10 mill, and they would be left with only one Center.
Re: Hawks 'love' of Harrington keeps him from being traded. well then both teams would have 1 center. Just that Philly's wouldn't be starter quality.
