WHo will have the better career when it is all said and done? I think Stephon is better at driving to the basket and a better scorer all together. Both have bad shots. I think Telfair will be the better passer pg because he doesnt seem to be a ball hog and he has a good array of passes.I made this topic because they are cousins and both originated on the NYC playgrounds. I think they have a pretty similar game as well.

Marbury for sure.Theres only a few men in NBA history who averaged over 20 points 8 assists for there career. Hes one of them.I can see Telfair as a 16 point 6 assist guy in the future.

Chances are it'll be Marbury. Telfair is still really young and definitely has a promising future, but to say he'll be putting up the numbers Marbury has, is not very realistic.

I'd have to say Marbury too. Telfair will be a solid PG in the future but I still think Stephon will be better.

Marbury has been a big time cancer through out his career. If you look at his history, it does not fair well for him. When Marbury played in New Jersey, the team was always in the lottery and never made the playoffs. Then he gets shipped off, and New Jersey soon went to the NBA Finals three years in a row. After leaving New Jersey, Marbury ended up in Phoenix. While he was in Phoenix, he was again playing for a lottery team. Then they ship him off to New York, and the next season, Phoenix becomes one of the best teams in the league. Now he is in New York, and the team is heading no where. Now this all could be a coincidence, but I think there is something being shown here. He is a cancer to his team, and always puts himself above the team. Statistically, Stephon is a great player, but he has had no sucess in the NBA.

Telfair is good but Marbury is better than he is in just about everything.

I believe anyone can become anything if they try hard enough but by what Telfair has shown so far and which is not much, I dont think he'll be better/have more success, unless he is a benchwarmer on a good team.

Marbury will have better stats. But I think Telfair will pass the 1st round in a couple of years.

I hate Marbury and I think he is one of the worst players you can have on your team. He hasnt won anything in his career and he is all about putting up numbers, yet he is still a very talented player who has put up great numbers. You definatly have to give him the edge over telfair, but I personally would rather have someone like Parker manning the point for my team instead of Marbury. Like I said, Marbury is a talented player, but he is not a winner, not a team player, and very arrogant (see: "Im the best PG in the league" comment)...

As much as I'd like to say Telfair (myself being from Oregon), it's an easy choice with Marbury. He's already had at least a decent career while Telfair may not even be the 2nd best PG on his team. The only real advantage Telfair has is that he's so young. Which if he's able to stick around in the league will give him more time to prove himself.

They don't know how to run an offense, they just know hom to get themselves open looks. They don't care about the coach, as long as there getting there twenty points every night. None of them give great efforts on the deffensive end, and none of them ever have or will be on a championship team. I don't know what Larry is going to do with these three guys. He can pretty much forget about running plays, because with that cast of players, the play will never get set up. The way that these guys play just indicates that these guys play just indicates how they are not, and don't want to be winners.

Telfair doesn't seem quite as selfish, but he's also shown no ability whatsoever to lead a team, and he has an attitude problem. umm, how about.. neither?
