Ouch. That hurts them for the playoffs. I still think they will make it but I don't know if they will get past the first round after this blow.
this is a bad blow for the Cavs, Im mad that he didnt get to show the hating Wizards fan that he can do good without Arenas. I hope my boi Hughes gets better and becomes the player I know he can be
Should've stayed here in DC, Larry. If you'd stayed you would have had more success playing with Arenas than James. Man that Arenas/Hughes tandem was just real good, it wasnt Jordan/Pippen good, but there the chemistry between them never broke. The Cavs are kicking themselves in the a$$ knowing they should not have signed Hughes to such a big contract. They never knew how injury prone Larry is. Now the Wizards even have a solid replacement in Butler.
No where in that article does it say that Larry Hughes is out for the rest of the year. It says he is likely to miss the rest of the regular season. And he probably will be back in the playoffs if he wants to.Should have stayed in D.C. Larry.
He will be out 2 months...it's sad that Cleveland wasted all that money on Hughes, Jones, Marshall...etc...
Yea I agree. Hughes to me is a great player, dont get me wrong, but the way he denied that money from Washington is kind of like an insult. Its basically saying that Hughes thinks he is the best player on the team and should be payed more than Gilbert. As far as I am concerned, Gilbert and Larry should have been payed equally. In my opinion, they both contributed to the wizards equally. So, that to me shows that Hughes was just playing for the money and if he was really smart like most players, he could have been the star in Washington and it could have been his team. You know how popular he would be? Now, him on the Cavs is more like a batman and robin figure him being robin.

Can you blame someone for leaving to make money? I can't because I would do it too.
I never said that they were both equal in shooting and scoring. Hughes got like 95% of the wizards steals leading to turnovers and easy buckets. Arenas could drain it from the outside. Hughes could shoot decently also and was a good slasher. Basically, they both switched off leading scores in games. Thats all im saying.
I would take Arenas over Hughes talent wise. Hughes is not a good shooter but can score and he gambles too much on defense allowing teams to score.
Arenas got paid what he did because everyone knew he was going to be a superstar, Hughes is good but Arenas is on a whole other level.
but u guys cant really say that Arenas is better cause yes Arenas is better on the offensive side but he gets shitted on every day by people who are unknowen in this league they both needed each other Im happy he left cause they money they tried to give him was messed up they over paid for ETAN THOMAS but cant even give the guys who help take them 2 there first playoff berth the money he was worth kinda messed up. LArry Hughes has worked hard to develope a constant shot and stay injury free if they would have signed him and got them self another big men then ohhhhhh boy what could have been but instead there fighting for there playoffs lifes (trust me they will be atleast the 8 or 7th seed)
Gilbert Arenas is 24 years old and he's averaging almost 29ppg...come on now...Arenas is clearly better.

this really sucks for the cavs...hopefully he will be back for the playoffs...if not, i hope he is back and ready toplay next year...
