I'm watching Portland at Toronto and I can't believe it, but I just saw the advertising under the scorers table is for Casino Rama, a large Casino. Obviously the NBA is past the Donaghy scandal. I see this as the most digusting display of corporate greed. How this isn't illegal, or at least investigated by D.C. is an outrage. David Stern is just a dirty, slimy piece of corrupt scum.
I don't understand the connection you're trying to make between the Donaghy ordeal and a casino sponsoring the Raptors.
The kings are owned by the Maloof brothers - they own the Palms casino in Vegas, where all the cool people (and Paris Hilton, too) hang out. It's hardly hypocritical of the league to allow casino owners to own a team and to take advertising by casinos. There's nothing illegal about casinos, either.
Yeah, I understand that part, but it's weak. It would be like saying "after the whole Donaghy scandal, how can the NBA still allow skinny white guys to officiate games?".
