Jay is the first non-American coach... He's the first Canadian coach in NBA history. This dude would be the first overseas coach in history.

Jay isn't an NBA coach. We need a proven coach for fuck sakes. I'm tired of having guys that are new.

Listen, he's been with the team for how long? He knows the system and the players. I just think, if we want to win, we need a good defensive coach and a guy who has proven himself. I'm sorry if I'm not as willing to wait out for this guy. I thought we brought in JO to win now and win now is what everyone wants. So, lets bring in a real coach who has proven himself.

I agree with shake, with all the proven coaches out there that are available why are we gonna go with Messina. I am sure hes a good coach, but hes a good coach for a league with entirely different rules. Thats like hiring a CFL coach for the NFL.

Just because Colangelo had an Italian coach in Phoenix, then an Italian assistant GM in Toronto, then an Italian coach in Toronto, and an Italian #1 draft pick, and rumoured interest in Belinelli and Gallinari, doesn't... wait, what was I trying to say? Messina is very likely to be on our radar this summer if we haven't made a hire by then.

I think Sam Mitchell should have been your coach.
