With Webster coming back, somebody had to be removed from the available 12 players, and it was Ike. I know we're a deep team and all, but we do play at about the slowest pace in the league, and Ike isn't going to work in a fast-breaking team, so if he's of no use to us, is he any use to anyone?

On the plus side, apparently he has an internship at some video game designer this coming Summer...

I think his contract is due to expire this year. Put him together with Raef and you got some serious cap relief . . .

I'm sorry to say but to me his body is built like a football player.

I still think that Ike would be a great player on our team and should be given burn, we need big bangers sometimes, and I think he'd fit right in with the 2nd unit, and maybe a mix-match with the first unit if Aldridge ever got hurt. Yeah, he's not that fast, but since when does our first unit play fast :)

Plus imagine the two big fatties Oden and Ike playing down low :) as long as they 'brought it' i'm sure they'd be giving out more stitches :D

Ike is a worse rebounder and a worse defender than Frye. He also doesn't know the meaning of PASS THE BALL ONCE IN A WHILE YOU FREAKIN' BALL HOG!

Please don't assume he's a banger just because of his physical build. He's a softie, a big softie. He's a worse rebounding, worse passing, poor man's Zach Randolph.

I have to admit that I am not really all that impressed with what I have seen of the president so far this year. I think that the fact that he was relegated to street clothes when Marty returned should tell you exactly what the coaching staff are thinking of his contributions - especially after Frye's recent stink-fest.

Ike is very undersized for his position and he tries to do much of what he did in college, but can't do it to NBA players. Ike's shot always results in a rushed shot or a blocked shot. He is not a factor. Shavlik Randolph is a much more appealing prospect than he is at this point. Shav has actually produced when healthy for a Philly team.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He's about the same as Fye as a rebounder. And, unfortunately, both are better than Aldridge.

Diogu has a career 13.7 Rebound Rate. Frye has a career 13.8 Rebound Rate. Aldridge has a career 13.0 Rebound Rate.

I'd say Diogu and Frye are pretty equivalent defenders, but that's subjective.

The main difference between Diogu and Frye, to me, is that Frye's offense comes from the perimeter, while Diogu's offense comes from the post. I wouldn't say that there's an objectively "better" way to get offense but I'd probably prefer someone on the second unit who scores out of the post, to play with perimeter-oriented scorers like Outlaw and Fernandez.
