Maybe because Maggette is not a 4. Freakin' moron Nelson.

Bad on Mags too. The guy isn't really trying hard for this team or he's not playing basketball smart. He's probably one of these guys who has intelligence, but on the court, it just all goes away. I see that Azubuike has the same problems with shooting and he loves to go to the rim and not pass the ball. Azubuike and mags are your classic power guards. I don't mind them doing their game so long as the ball starts with somebody else first and then goes to a secondary setup guy. Azu and Mags should be used as interior play finishers and guys who can cut to the rim.

I can see in a way that Mags can be like Murphy (blackholish and makes teams very bad), but Mags has to be used as a swingman first, not this power forward crap that Nelly does. If he's not, he's really bad. Oh and if he has to shoot 3's, he's horrible. He needs to be like a Richard Jefferson and he needs to start putting effort on D. He can play D he just needs to try and get his attitude in check. I've seen him player better than what he's playing now. He's just playing like garbage. We need Mags to be the guy who gets 5-6 boards a game, 2-3 assists a night, a steal, play competitive D, and get about 8 trips to the foul line. If he can consistently do that at small forward, then I think it's up to the rest of the players to pitch in. But Don Nelson keeps playing this guy at crap positions. He's better at manhandling small players so he can put the and1 shots in.

Also, we need more midrange shots. If we watch Belinelli utilize screens that's how I want the warriors to play once in a while. Except in the example of Belinelli, I want him to shoot midrange shots rather than fade-away 3's going behind screens.

Why is Nellie in love with Morrow who goes 4-12 and gets more minutes and yet Bellinelli, who plays better D, goes 6-7?

Well, Morrow is still technically the better 3-point shooter (mainly why either of them would be out there), he's a much better rebounder, and better foul shooter. And most importantly, Morrow has done it big-time in two real NBA games, Belinelli has not (going into this game). Don't get me wrong, Belinelli had a really nice night, but well, it is the Thunder. Maybe he'll get a few more minutes because of it now.

My view is Morrow and Belinelli bring totally different things to the table. Morrow is a flat out shooter, like a Michael Redd. He does one thing really well. His size and court effort gives him good opportunities to rebound the ball too.

Belinelli is more of a balance player. He has really good court awareness, handling, and passing skills...as well as being a good shooter. He has good timing on passes. Of the two, I feel he is more fundamentally sound. In fact, I think he is one of the most fundamentally sound players on the team.

This is why we've seen the two of them on the court together lately. However, unfortunately, for both of them, they are competing for the same spot in the rotation.

Yes. We need a QB that can fit any style of ball.

This is the same problem I saw with warriors ball back when we had Murphy/Foyle frontline. At least Dampier/Clif Robinson could kick out the ball and play high/low in addition to being more than adequate defensively. Foyle couldn't catch worth shit and Murphy would put the shot up without even thinking and plus his defense was hideous. The same thing happens with Mags at PF, who is basically a worthless body matchup anyway at PF. Then there's also not getting Beans involved offensively. If we go through Beans I can imagine 4-5 assists a game easily. He's a smart player. Beans is an above average passer for his position and I have faith that if this team was coached differently Beans would be a multiplier to better team play. Same with Turiaf. These guys have gotten crap minutes in passed games where Nellie decided it was germane to play smaller, put in ball hogs like Azu/Mags along with Harrington or Crawford and then put guys in positions that they don't add to team chemistry.

I totally believe this team was mismanaged after the first 7 or so games because it does have very talented players. No doubt about this. Bad coaching, bad lineups which equate to poor team chemistry. Nelson would rather have all of his firepower up front, when I believe this only kills you defensively and in offensive role play.
