This is a huge opportunity to improve on our record, this next month could determine division standings and playoff spot. I see us going 10-4, with our record improving to 25-11! Tue 09 vs Orlando Thu 11 @ Utah Fri 12 vs LA Clippers Tue 16 vs Sacramento Thu 18 vs Phoenix Mon 22 @ Denver Tue 23 vs Denver Thu 25 vs Dallas Sat 27 vs Toronto Tue 30 vs Boston Fri 02 vs New Orleans Sun 04 @ LA Lakers Wed 07 vs Detroit Sat 10 vs Golden State
I would guess 10-4 or if we keep playing like we have maybe 11-3. Either way we would be in good shape to make the playoffs. I hope there isn't a let down because they made it through the rough part of the schedule with such a good record.
11 out of 14 at home is nice, but that stretch of games is against some stiff competition. The Clippers (second of an away-home back to back), Kings, and Warriors games are the only ones I see as near locks in our favor, with everything else coming against teams jockeying for playoff/homecourt positioning in their respective conferences. I wouldn't be surprised with say an 8-6 stretch... although I hope to see 10-4 or better. It'll be nice when we finally get a few games vs OKC/MEM to help pad our record some more.

Just two homes games in ten days after that.
split next two, win three of four after that, win two of four after that, win 3 of 5 after that. 9-5.
things usually balance out. we are due for some losses. you know and i know we have overachieved. im very concerned that boston exposed us. teams are gonna make us take jumpers while they are physical with us. the problem with our team is we have no bad a$$ but pryz and even hes a little timid. aldridge is about as a soft PF as ive ever seen. outlaw and frye are like ghaving 2 toothpicks out there. oden is fragile. roy takes more hits then a lions qb. its gonna crach up to us. hope im wrong...infact i pray im wrong.
I think 9-5 is what I predict, which would be awesome. If we can somehow get 10-11 wins, wow. That would be awesome. Utah and Denver twice comin' up, those are huge games. The Utah game in a couple days is really big, since they already have a 1-0 series lead.
I don't think if the Blazers lose some of these games they shouldn't has anything to do what you think "boston exposed us". I think if we lose more games then we should it will be because we might think we can coast now that we got past the rough part of the schedule with a good record. Now that we have all these home games might make players ease up but I really don't think that will happen more then one game. At least I'm hoping it won't.
I only see a few teams in this league that can play the defense Boston did on us. Them, the Lakers, the Spurs, and maybe Houston (if healthy). Other teams can try, but they just aren't able to play that kind of physical defense all game long. And Boston exposes everyone big time, that's why they're the champs and are 18-2 or whatever. I'm not worried about us, we'll be fine.
I think if there was going to be a MAJOR letdown it would have come vs. Toronto. I think there will be ups and downs, just like most every team has, specially young teams who still have not learned how to bring it every night. So of course there will be some letdown games. But a major let down where we go like 7-13 through 20 games I don't really see.
Portland only plays 3 gimme games and the rest of these 14 are against good teams. I predict 8-6 if we play horribly but am hoping for 12-14. The only games we will have a uphill battle are the LA and Boston game
even 7-7 will still have us sitting at 22-14, not too bad. where will we lose our first home game? i vote never!
That's a really tough schedule when you think about it. LOTS of really good teams, even if we play at home. A road game at OKC on the back end of a BTB is still going to be much easier than a home game against, say, Utah.
Denver back to back.... god I hate the NBA league office.... there's no reason to have that kind of schedule.
Cs are 20-2. Losing to them in their building isn't some horrible thing that helps everyone beat us. Why aren't the Lakers exposed? They lost by 39 the last time they played in Boston. The Cavs lost to the Cs on opening night. Why aren't they exposed? We have a good chance to beat the Cs in our building. Same with the Suns. We're fine.
