I think we are. I go to Lakersground after a lakers loss and the board is bombared with "Trade odom" and all these anti kobe threads if he had a bad game. If we win big and odom plays great he goes back to being liked. We need to set a standard of consistency. After a laker loss if Both odom and kobe have a bad game- They had a bad game, hopefully they'll bounce backAfter a few games with them being off- They need to get their heads backAfter a few months of bad play- Trade Odom [Kobe cannot be traded unless he wants to]After a laker win and both play good- Nice game, hopefully they can keep up the good playAfter a 5 game winning streak and both of them play good- Yes, there playing consistently. Hope they can continueAfter a few succesfull weeks of play and both play good- There turning into a great 1-2 combo.I'm going to abide that and hopefully all lakers fan will too.

The Lakers are a .500 team...most teams are inconsistant like that because it's a game of streaks.

They rag on the lakers because one day they look like allstars and the next stars. One player will have a great game and then disappears the next game. It's getting annoying and this year they've been games that we should've won but because as a team we collapsed at he last gasp, were 25-24. I'm very disappointed with this record though because we could've won more games.

All we need is to learn how to play defense. I don't know how we gave up 110+ points to the hawks. Today's rebounding and freethrow shooting was atrocious. Kobe amazed me with all his missed freethrows. I couldn't believe it.I hope phil enforces defense because defense creates offense.

The Bucks and Bulls are just as inconsistant as the Lakers...When you don't have any bigmen and you have streak shooters inconsistancy happens.

But to many Lakers fans...they are the only team that matters....OMG Lakers were inconsistant...You think the Celtics, Cavs, Bucks, Bulls, Warrios, Wolves, Kings are never inconsistant? But as soon as the Lakers are it's a big deal because they are such a great team that they should never be inconsistant like the rest of the league.

Unlike other fans we don't expect our team to suck. Bucks don't expect anything, there bound to be medicore for another decade. And no, other teams don't matter to me.

But in your case and the Lakers, it's ok for high expectations?

High expectations for me is making the 2nd round of the playoffs. I've experience the low and highs and was alive to see them winning. That is why i expect the laker to do well because the franchise was made to win.Dallas on the otherhand :dunno: ....

To answer your question, no. We are not the most inconsistent fans in the world. The people who post those "Trade Odom" threads after losses on CL and LG generally are just pissed because of the loss, and they take out their anger on the computer for some reason. But you can't tell me that this hasnt been one of the most frustrating seasons youve ever seen as a fan of any team. It has. Kwame goes for 18 and 10 one night, then goes 0/6 with 5 turnovers the next. Lamar is all over the place. Luke Walton has dissappeared. Kobe seems content with shooting 10 25 footers a game. Its getting out of hand really.

OK BCB. Just to let you know the lakers didn't make the playoffs and there an 8th seed now. And some teams have higher expectations than others.

Also, I'm pretty sure every team in the NBA at some point is building their franchise to win. 2nd round, wow, that's an achievement? You were saying in the why Dallas gets no attention thread, if the Mavs can't make it to Finals, their not good. But a 2nd round bracket for Lakers is great for you. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>That is why i expect the laker to do well because the franchise was made to win.</div>Let's see if your a Laker fan in 10 years, or when Kobe retires.

Lol, Like you were a mavericks fan when they sucked it up 1999. Ah, you're team has always made it to the playoffs for 5 straight seasons and is sitting untop of the WCF. Wouldn't you be more fit of being a bandwagon fan seeing as how my team is sitting .500 and won 38 games last season? 10 years? lol, let's see if you're a dallas fan when they it the ground again. My team has hit it's low and i'm still here. I haven't seen you and dallas go through hard times this season. Are you implying Dallas is not trying to win? Ever since Cubes took over, it's been up. Also, I'm pretty sure every team in the NBA at some point is building their franchise to win. You're one of the more confident maverick fans i've met. You're one person, i'm talking about the other thousands of mav fans. And 2nd round is an achievement because the lakers are in the rebuilding stage. I obviously want them to win the championship but it's not going to happen this season. Dallas aren't rebuilding and have their stongest team in years. They get no attention because 1 they haven't won a championship2 They don't have a superstar who everyone knows, dirk doesn't get media attention3 Spurs overshadow them.

[IMG] I rooted for guys like Vernon Maxwell, Wang ZhiZhi when I started watching em. It wasn't stellar basketball I would say. Also, to answer your question if I would still be a Mavs fan. Yes because I am not a fan of the players, I'm a fan of the team. I became a Mavs fan mainly because of Finley, who was basically the lone wolf in Dallas in their bad years. Also, big fan of Nash. Both gone, and I'm clearly a Mavs fan still. Also, for 5 straight playoffs, and no ring, I'm betting most fans would have jumped off the bandwagon, and to top it off, their not even a popular team with their low media attention.
And you know what those fans think? The thousands?
Oh wow, one missed playoffs season. Hang in there. And you answered my question basically to why I'm confident.
