Leave it to PapaG to make it personal and ruin things, why did you say that to him? I can already see the direction that this thread is going in. I thought you had "learned your lesson". I thought we all agreed to stop this silly fighting since we are all on the same team here.
I blame Outlaw for this loss, not for his defense on Hedo, but for throwing back to Roy in the corner with a double team coming forcing him to get trapped in the corner and take a impossible shot. I'd rather have outlaw drives it and get fouled than sit there and give it back to Roy.
Blame the play on McMillan if you want. The Blazers obviously weren't prepared for the double team. Either way, tough loss. Not a huge deal.
I wasn't on the court and I didn't go for 30/9/5 in the game tonight. I admit I don't have all of the answers, but the one criticism I saw from you was about Brandon Roy's choice on the last shot of the game. A game in which he played to win. So again, I can see now why you are no longer paid to follow the NBA.
I don't even understand what you just said, but I'm not upset at all. I just think it was a silly loss for an inexperienced team.
i didn't see any of the game(it wasn't on here and i was watching the texas game anyway), but was it a good decision that the blazers went small half of the time? i realize that the magic are a team that likes to play small(with hedo and lewis at the forward spots together) but it seems like it would be a better idea to just player their normal game and use the size advantage rather than try to matchup and play into the magic's hands.
You know on the play where Lewis got the three pointer? We had 4 guys around the ball on the rebound and Nelson just took it away...
Because I disagreed with his opinion, and because Nate Bishop is a public figure. I was told by the mods that criticizing public figures was OK.
Right, because I was criticizing his whole game tonight. Why are you even bringing up his stat line? I'm talking about the last shot of the game. But while we're talking about his whole game, how about you bring up the 5 missed freethrows? Would we have lost if Roy had made even three of those? I'm saying there was a better option than Brandon Roy in the corner with a double team. Roy brought the ball up, he was being doubled, he passed the ball and they gave it back to him. I think it was a bad move.
Individual stats are meaningless, as this game proved. We had the game under control and an 8 point lead with about 4 minutes to go, then Brandon started demanding the ball and doing his JJ impersonation. Roy froze out Sergio for 3 minutes, ignoring him several times when he was wide open, preferring to keep going 1 on 2, then ignored everyone when Blake came back in. It was a WTF is he doing moment, and they are becoming more frequent lately. Hugely disappointing and I hope Nate puts this on himself for not going with the guys who got us there.
Oh it's all good, I just didn't understand your post at first . Actually my main problem with them is how they celebrate everytime they do something good, and turn their backs on the defense. Nate even brought this up tonight.
What other public figures post here? Denny Crane and Magnum are the only ones I can think of. What's your thoughts on Magnum's mustache? Too bushy? And that Denny Crane is too full of himself.. always saying "Denny Crane" like anyone cares.
I missed the end of the game, but on ESPN shot chart it showed that we were up 108-100 and took nothing but threes to end the game while the Magic made three to win it? What happened? I couldn't figure it out from the game thread exactly.
I didn't want to tell anyone, but I am actually a well known plastic surgeon here in Vegas. I pretend to work on cars so nobody figures it out. Oh well, I am a public figure so feel free to bash, I don't mind.
