Is this kid for real, or is he fools gold? Can his jumper be as consistent vs NBA defenses? He could be a good VC replacement...
Come on furnace a 6' 1'' VC replacement...... JJ Redick was doing the exact same things when he was in college as well as Adam Morrison. I think he'll be a daniel gibson type player, his height and slight frame will hold him back and his quickness and athleticism is not on par with the elite PGs in the NBA. He doesn't impress me because of all of that and also because this year's college kids suck compared to last years batch. Last year's freshmen were impressive and they're all in the NBA now.
yeah, I can see that comparison more than the others....but Curry's appeal is in how his ability to play PG. If he can prove (which he's starting to) that he can effectivly handle the PG position even in short bursts he's a lottery pick for sure...and with this upcoming draft looking kinda thin...I don't see him returning to school...he's getting his name out there and his stock probably couldn't be higher by draft time
agreed...with Harris as your PG....I would probably go for someone like James Harden out of Arizona State...he's a beast to....but you'll have to trade up for him, since he'll probably be in the top 10
ben was and is stronger, taller and more bulky than gordon. ben also got to the rack a lot more at UCONN than Curry does now. I dunno I just saw ben coming out as a more complete player coming out of college. Curry might be able to develop into a gordon type player if he can add more to his game than his jumper but I still stand by my Gibson comparison.
i saw curry at the garden 2 nights ago, and this kid is a player, he was shaking dudes. all the guys that were guarding him were 6'8 with long arms and since hes the only player on his team he has to run the point. in the nba hes gonna be very good because on a team with some other players he wont have to do everything
http://www.observer.com/2008/o2/sports/stephen-curry-show So did VC and Harris And the Mavs pick is in 2010, not next year. Nets have one pick in 2009--their first round pick, three picks in 2010--their first and second rounders and the Mavs' first rounder.
