Now that the Artest/Peja deal is finally offical what's next? There have been many rumors flying around that such NBA stars and Allen Iverson and Kevin Garrnett want to be traded but so far know deals have been sent out for such a thing to happen. Although there have been rumors. There have been rumors that the Los Angeles Lakers may be trying to get KG. There were also rumors that the Lakers are thinking about trying to get Keyon Martin from Denver or Carlos Boozer from Utah. Now that I got that out of the way here is what I think should happen. I believe that as far as Carlos Boozer goes there is no other them out there for him other then Cleveland. When this guy was playing in Cleveland he was a superstar. Well he wasnt a superstar but many people (Including myself) Were talking about him. They were talking about how good a player he was and he was but ever since he left things just havent been the same. Why? Because Carlos is nothing without Lebron James. Plain and Simple. I believe these guys had great Chemestry and by bringing this guy back in now I believe that Cleveland will have a sure trip to the playoffs even more then they already do no that there second leading scorer Larry Huges has been put on the Injuried List for possibly the remander for this season. Another thing I think should happen is many changes in LA. I know the Lakers seem to be getting good now to a some what level but lets face it. No matter how hard there trying to improve there are still to many flaws in there line up that I believe need to be changed. One being Lamar Odom. Lamar Odom was one hell of a player when he was on the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat but ever since the day he suited up in the purple and gold his scoring, rebounding.....pretty much his whole game has gone down just a little bit. I just don't think the Lakers is the right team for him so what do we do? We trade him. What could possibly be a good trade for him? There are many possiblitys. How about Kwame Brown and Odom for KG? How about Lamar Odom for some one like Kyle Kover. It would be a small forward for a small forward who can also play forward(Odom). Kyle Kover would fit in perfectly with the Lakers I believe. He's a young guy who could come in and start at the small forward position and take some of the scoring off the shoulders of Kobe Bryant which is something LA strongly needs. Another thing that Lakers need is a new Power Forward or Center because ever since Shaq left the lakers have been missing that inside power that scored them many points during there Championship runs. If KG isnt a primary Option maybe bringing back a good player such as Robert Horry would be good for the team. Horry for Kwame Brown wouldnt be a bad idea. It would bring Horry back to a starting line up where he once was with LA and send Kwame to a team that has such players as Tim Duncin and Tony Massenburg who could work with Kwame on improving his game. After all whats a better teacher for Kwame then a PF that has 1 the MVP award twice in a row. Allen Iverson: This is a tough one because there just isnt really many deals for this guy that would make sinse. The only logical possiblity would be to send him to Detroit for Chancy Billops and a 1st round Draft pick. Maybe Dallas would be a good place for Iverson. I say this because with a Coach like Avery Johnson on the sidelines his defense wouldnt just improve, his skills has a point guard would as well. What do you think?
I think we will see Francis and Darko get dealt somewhere around the deadline. Orlando obviously does not want Francis around anymore, and Darko just has no value to Detroit so it's time they ship him off. Denver is a team that could end up aquiring either of these players. They could use a off guard who can score, or add depth to there frontcourt. They have Earl Watson, and Nene Hilario who would both be very nice additions to any team.
AI isn't going anywhere, although I do want to see him traded. It's in the best interest of him, and the franchise, but Billy King does not have the balls to deal Allen. From what I'm hearing, the Sixers are in dicussions to bring a player to the team that would make a big impact. For who? I'm not sure right now. Will it happen? It's 50-50 at this point, but if it does go down, the trade will have the same buzz that the Webber trade had last year.Only 8 days till the deadline, and I'm sure we'll hear of a couple of trades after the All-Star Game.
I dont really think that the Pistons would trade Chancey for AI but the other are ok. One more thing is that the Wolves said that if they trade KG they would need a young PF and many first rounder like maybe 2 or 3. As for the Boozer situation back to Cleveland now that can happen, I think a deal like Gooden and filler (for mony reason) for Boozer is a good deal we get a good inside scorer and still have a good bench with Donyell as our 6th man
No to AI in Dallas, he's as much a pg as Terry is. And with Harris here, we don't need anyone holding him back any longer. Also, it would gut the team for a guy whose window is closing. And that trade makes no sense for Detroit who are another team on the roll who don't need to blow up their team for one guy. And how does Billups for Iverson even work?KG has yet to ask for a trade, if he does, Wolves will be looking at deals, but he hasn't, which explains the reason he's still in Minny. Can't see any takers in Boozer either except maybe LA, where he bought a house recently and they have interest. The guy's stock is down, with his year off from a injury and his contract ain't pretty to take either.I can't believe you said Cleveland, they rather lynch him then take him back. The guy bailed on them for a bigger contract, it will be a dark day if he ever goes back to Cavs.He hasn't done anything in Utah, simply because of injuries(phantom?), the number he's put up there, look nice, but in limited time. What! Kyle Korver for Odom makes the Lakers better? Please, and Odom's rebounding numbers I believe are up and so are his assists. It's only his scoring is down, but with Kobe on the team for that, it doesn't surprize me.This may sound like a total bash, but that was some incoherent stuff there that didn't make sense.
I see where your going Rok and I respect your opinion but think about this for a second. Landing AI in Dallas for Jason Terry and some Draft picks would be good because it would reunite Jerry Stackhouse and AI. These two guys werent Shaq+Kobe or anything but they were a pretty good combination imo.Do you even remember what happend in Cleveland with Boozer? Incase you forgot Carlos was very willing to stay but Cleveland wasnt as generous enough to offer him the kind of money he very much deserved after coming off the best season of his career. Cleveland wasnt willing to pay him so he had no other choice but to leave and unlike the situation Larry Hughes had with the Wizards Cleveland didnt try and match any offers that was offered to him. Thats why he left. He didnt have any problems at all with management like some players did other then that and Im sure they would take him back.
Maybe so but adding a me first player like Iverson to a Mavericks team that already has good team chemistry and a top record would be dumb.Dont fix something that isnt broke.

Sixers would be asking for youth to go with Terry, and possibly Van Horn. They have to matchup to Iverson's contract. And no Stackhouse and Iverson wouldn't work well together, because we have Dirk here as well. We don't need 2 guys in the backcourt who are aging and heave it up there. Also, if you knew anything about that combo, it failed in Philly, and led to Stackhouse being traded to Detroit. Again, the top teams in the NBA, don't need to make any drastic changes.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Do you even remember what happend in Cleveland with Boozer? He left them for more money. He told them he would take whatever offer in the offseason. Come offseason, Utah offers him a big contract, he takes it. And if you a fan during that time, you would have seen all the hate about Boozer from Cleveland fans about him backstabbing them. Carlos Loozer sites didn't just pop up out of no where that year. Also, Boozer was a unrestricted free agent, he was free to go anywhere with Cleveland helpless. And with the Hughes situation. Wiz didn't match that offer because he's not worth that much money. Cleveland overpaid for him, and you see what they get this year. A guy who had one great season, gets paid, then what? Oh and that one season, was his most healthy one, coincidence?<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Just thought I would tell you great post.I will comment on this later.</div> Did you even read his post Balla? Length doesn't mean good.

The Wizards did offer another contract that matched the offer but it was declined which is why it didnt get out for everybody to know about. You are one of the people that never heard about it obvously. Larry Hughes was a great addition to Washington. He along with Arenas and Jamison were the highest scoring 3 some in the league. They had something special. They had Chemesty there for he was worth every penny.

Dude, if Wiz matched the offer, Hughes would have no choice but to go back. Like I said, go learn about free agent signings, trades before you talk, because it's not making any sense.A good example for you is Terry, signed offer sheet with Utah, like Hughes signed with Cleveland. Hawks matched up, Terry forced to play with Hawks again. Wiz don't match, Hughes free to go to Cleveland. If Wiz matched, they would have him. Hughes has no part in declining a move by Wiz.Man, one good year, and that makes you worth every penny. And that big 3 would have gone no where. So Wiz would be wallowing in cap space with 3 individuals taking up the whole cap.I'll reply to this topic when KG and AI is traded, otherwise this thread is irrevelant until dagame figures out trades that actually work.
i think the best player that will be dealt will be Franchise...i dont think any other big name player will be dealt (well, not as big as Steve Francis lol)
I doubt Francis will be dealt. I understand he is involved in every kind of rumor but I dont see the Magic trading him before the deadline.
I think K-Mart and Francis simply make too much to be traded...now with the Knicks out of the picture.
The NBA has become a league where guys sign max deals and get dealt soon after. The first topic, Boozer getting traded, why would a team want to give up good talent to get a guy who has had feet problems, a guy who stabbed his team in the back, and a guy who only works hard, really is not a guy filled with talent. The sixers trading AI for Billups?? Why does that trade make sense for either team?? AI needs the ball in his hands to play well, and with Detroit he would lose that freedom. And in Chauncy Billups we have a guy who I do not think could be the best player on a team and lead them without having a great supporting cast. Next we go to the KG trade thing. Minnesota will NOT trade Kevin Garnett except for three people: Lebron, TD, Kobe. Thats it people. No one else in the league can bring the numbers, skills, and marketability. Also, superstars that get traded (Vince, TMac, Shaq) they all are on teams where they refuse to do what they want. If im not mistaken, KG hated Wally and probably his influence was why he is gone. Along the same lines, Francis is really not a superstar anymore. Yes he gets paid like one, but his numbers refuse to say that and he has brought two teams backwards. Its not his fault Yao was not built to play the NBA game, but he had Dwight Howard in Orlando and in a division with Washington and Atlanta, he should have been much better. Finally, in terms of Free Agent rules, Larry Hughes was not a restricted free agent because he had signed a deal after his Bird Rights had ran out. True a team can sign you for more years and money, but they do not have to offer it, nor dos he have to sign it. A restricted free agent is forced to play for the original team he was on, if they choose to match an offer. In Washington, Hughes was not forced to go back, and I do not believe that Washington offered enough money or years for him to sacrifice.

The NBA is not a league where max contract guys get traded soon after...WTF is this guy talking about.
I don't know, but it's not that part of his essay that I was referring to. He repeated some of what I said. But this thread opener sucks balls, I'm lucky I didn't take Balla's word for it. That's another Butterfinger back into my pocket.
Chauncey isn't going anywhere.A.I. isn't going anywhere.KG could move, however unlikely to me, but no way in hell to the Lakers.I see K-Mart being moved, not to the Lakers, but maybe to the Knicks.Ray Allen has a chance of being moved in my mind, maybe to Denver ofr a K-Mart package.Steve Francis won't be with the Magic that much longer IMO.
